We hear your cry for deliverance and we stand with you together before the throne of grace to seek God's will in this matter. We lift up your upcoming hearing to the Lord and we ask for His favor, His justice, and His peace to rest upon you. We know that God is our righteous judge and our advocate, and we pray that the truth will be made clear and that the outcome will be according to His perfect will for your life.
We pray for a victorious outcome as you have asked, trusting that God works all things for the good of those who love Him. We remember the promise in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We ask God to remove any spirit of fear and anxiety surrounding this hearing, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, and to grant you calm confidence and clarity.
We also lift up your family and your home, asking the Lord to bring His peace to dwell there. We understand how painful and draining it is when there is constant arguing, controlling words, and insults without cause, especially from a mother. We pray for your mother, that God would soften her heart, calm her spirit, and help her to see the hurt her words cause. We pray that the peace of God would rule in your hearts as we are taught in Colossians 3:15, And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. We pray that you would be able to pursue peace even in a difficult home, remembering Romans 12:18, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
We encourage you to respond with grace and not to return insult for insult. The Word tells us in Proverbs 15:1, A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger, and in Ephesians 4:29, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Even when it is difficult, we are called to honor our father and mother as given in Ephesians 6:2-3, Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. This does not mean you must accept abuse or controlling behavior without seeking wise boundaries, but it does mean we honor them by praying for them, speaking respectfully, and seeking God's wisdom in how to respond. We pray God gives you wisdom to set healthy boundaries in love and to seek counsel from a trusted pastor or godly mentor if needed. We also claim deliverance for your home, for James 4:7 tells us, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, and we know that greater is He who is in us than any strife or oppression in our homes.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We pray in the name of Jesus because His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection opened the way for us to be forgiven and to come boldly to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and to confess Him as Lord as Romans 10:9 teaches, for that is how we are saved and how our prayers are heard.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You and we ask for Your hand of deliverance and favor upon the hearing. Let Your will be done, let truth prevail, and let justice be served. Grant peace that surpasses understanding and guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask You to pour out Your peace upon this family and this home. Touch the mother's heart, Lord, soften it, heal any hidden hurt or anger that causes her to argue and insult, and help her to speak with love and self-control. Help this child of Yours to walk in wisdom, patience, and grace, to honor You in how they respond, and to resist the enemy's attempts to bring division. We claim Your promise that You are with us and will strengthen and uphold us, and we ask for complete deliverance from strife and oppression in that household. Draw each family member closer to You and to each other. We ask all of this in the victorious and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.
