Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and your concern for your son. We are joining you in prayer for deliverance, for health, and for healing from what has happened in the past.
In Scripture the people were shown two mountains, one where blessings were proclaimed for walking in obedience to God and one where curses were proclaimed for turning away to serve other gods. The point was clear, when we turn from the Lord we experience the consequences of sin, and those consequences can feel like a curse following a family. But the good news of the gospel is that God sent His Son to bless us by turning us away from our iniquities. It is our iniquities that bring the curse, and Jesus came to deliver us from them. He is the promised child born of the line of David, and He is also the Son of God, declared with power by His resurrection from the dead and by the Father's own voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. To have the Son is to have life, and to acknowledge the Son is to have the Father also. There is no curse that can stand against His power. We pray that every chain of sin, guilt, and spiritual oppression over you and your son is broken in Jesus name, and that you will walk in the mercy and peace that come from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, continuing in the Son and in the Father.
We also lift up your son's physical health. The Lord has power over the physical realm and He cares for the bodies He created. We believe He still heals, and we have seen that healing is sometimes immediate and sometimes gradual, but every true healing is from Him. We pray for safe and steady progress toward a healthy weight for your son, for wisdom for you and for any doctors or counselors who help him, for strength to make good daily choices, and for protection from harmful or extreme methods. We pray also for the deeper healing from the past that you mentioned. The Lord not only forgives sin but blots it out, so that times of refreshing may come from His presence. He can heal the scars and wounds left in the mind and emotions as well as in the body. You do not need to carry the guilt and condemnation of yesterday. In Christ you are received as His child and He makes all things new.
Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Jesus Christ whom You sent to deliver us from our iniquities. We ask in the name of Jesus Your Son that You break every effect of sin and darkness over this parent and this son and deliver them from evil. Keep them in Your name as Your own. Help them to walk in truth and to keep Your commandments in love, and to abide in what they have heard from the beginning, believing that Jesus is indeed the Son of God. Grant healing in body, mind and heart, and grant to this young man safe and healthy strength with gradual and lasting improvement. Wash away the past, blot out what has been, and bring refreshing and peace. Let them know they belong to You and are safe in You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
