We join with you in prayer for deliverance for you and your son, and we hear the burden on your heart for his health and for healing from past hurts. We stand together against fear and oppression, and we ask the Lord to bring freedom, wholeness, and peace over your family in Jesus' name.
The Word reminds us that those who are in Christ are not under a curse, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse. Galatians 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And Romans 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. We do not need to live in fear of curses spoken against us, because greater is He who is in us. Isaiah 54:17 says No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. The enemy may try to accuse and oppress, but he has no authority over a child of God who submits to God and resists him. James 4:7 says Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We encourage you to walk closely with the Lord, to confess any known sin, to forgive those who have hurt you, to turn away from any involvement with occult practices or seeking power apart from God, and to put on the full armor of God daily as described in Ephesians 6:11. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, and God has given us authority in Jesus' name to stand firm.
We also lift up your son before the Father for his physical health and for deep inner healing. God cares about both body and soul. 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. And 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to glorify God in our body. We pray for wisdom and self control and discipline for your son to lose weight safely, not through harsh or harmful means, but through steady, healthy choices, nourishing food, activity, and rest, all sustained by God's strength. And for past hurts, we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that any wounds from rejection, trauma, or disappointment would be healed as he brings them honestly to Jesus, forgives as Christ has forgiven, and allows the Lord to renew his mind.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that every curse is broken. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name alone we pray and find deliverance.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this dear parent and for her son. We thank You that You are our deliverer and our healer. We declare that every curse, spell, and word spoken against them is broken and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. We ask that You surround them with Your protection and fill their home with Your peace. Lord, we lift up this son to You. We ask for Your hand upon his body, that You would help him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You, giving him strength, discipline, and a sound mind. Heal his metabolism, guide him to wise counsel and healthy habits, and let his body be strengthened for Your purposes. Heal his heart also, Father. Touch every place of past hurt, disappointment, and pain. Bind up his wounds, restore what has been broken, and let him know how deeply he is loved and valued by You. We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression and command it to leave in Jesus' name, and we invite Your Holy Spirit to fill every place. Help this family to walk in faith, to resist the enemy, and to grow in the knowledge of Your Word. Draw them both closer to Jesus and let them experience the freedom that is theirs in Him. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray daily in Jesus' name, to speak Scripture aloud over your family, to worship, and to seek fellowship with other believers who can support you. Keep bringing your son before the Lord with thanksgiving, encouraging him in healthy rhythms and in bringing his hurts to God rather than carrying them alone. God is faithful and He is working for your good.
