Thank you for sharing your request for prayer for yourself and your son. I am praying with you for deliverance, for health, and for healing from the hurts of the past.
The Scripture speaks of curses pronounced from Mount Ebal upon those who broke God's covenant, and the long list in Deuteronomy 27 and 28 shows how serious disobedience is and how heavy its consequences become. If you are in Jesus Christ, you do not need to live under fear that a spoken curse has power over you and your son. The Bible says Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. When you have put your faith in Jesus as the Son of God who died and rose again, you are under His covenant of grace, not under a curse. Any fear or oppression that has troubled you can be brought to Him, and you can ask Him to break its hold and to fill your home with His peace and protection. Continue to walk with Him, confess His Word over your lives, and trust that His blood covers you.
I am also praying for your son's physical health and for safe weight loss. God cares about our bodies, and He is able to give wisdom, strength and self control for daily choices about food, activity and rest. Pray for guidance for any doctors or others who may help him, and for steady, healthy progress that honors the Lord and strengthens his body. Remember that all healing is from God. Sometimes He heals instantly and sometimes He heals gradually through natural processes He Himself created in our bodies. In either way it is His work, and we can trust Him for it.
The same is true for healing from past hurts. Jesus was scourged and His body was broken open for us, and the Scripture says by His wounds we are healed. That healing is not only spiritual but also physical and emotional. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Some wounds of the heart are deep and take time, and God can bring a gradual healing to memories and emotions just as He does in the body. Bring those hurts honestly to the Lord, ask Him to heal what is still painful, and allow Him to replace bitterness or sorrow with His comfort.
My prayer for you both is this. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I ask that You set this dear one and her son free from all fear of curses and from every work of the enemy. Let them know they are covered by the blood of Jesus and that no curse has claim on those who belong to You. Give the son health in his body, wisdom for safe weight loss, and strength for each day. Heal both of them from past hurts, restore what has been wounded inside, and fill them with Your peace and hope. Help them to continue in Your Son and to know Your love more deeply. Amen.
