We have lifted your request before the Lord and we continue to pray for you and for your son.
The Scripture speaks plainly about curses. When the law was given, curses were pronounced from Mount Ebal for disobedience to God, and the people were to answer amen, acknowledging that the judgment was just. The list of those curses in Deuteronomy is long and heavy, and it shows how serious sin is and how no one can stand on their own. But the good news of the gospel is that Jesus Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us on the cross. What the law pronounced as judgment, Jesus bore in His own body so that those who are in Him are no longer under that curse but under grace. If you have put your faith in Jesus as the Son of God, God manifested in flesh and the only way to the Father, then you can rest in this truth that the power of any curse is broken in Him. We pray that you will abide in the Son and in the Father, holding fast to the truth of who Jesus is, and walk in the freedom He has purchased for you. We ask God to make His deliverance real in your daily life, to silence every accusation of the enemy, and to fill your home with His peace and protection.
We also pray for your son. We believe that Jesus is able to heal both spiritually and physically, and that all true healing is from God. Sometimes He heals instantly, and sometimes He heals gradually through a process. He has built healing processes into our bodies, and He works through wisdom, healthy habits, medical help, and the steady renewing of our minds and emotions. It is all divine because He is the Creator of all. We pray for your son's body, that God will give him strength and wisdom to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, and that he will be guided to good and sustainable steps rather than harmful ones. We pray for healing from the past as well, for the wounds and scars that remain in the heart and mind. The Lord can heal those inward places deeply, bringing comfort where there has been hurt and restoring what has been broken.
So we pray now, Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son, we thank You that Christ has set us free from the curse. We ask that You make that freedom clear and firm for this dear one and for her son, that no curse would have any hold on them. Surround them with Your favor and keep them close to You. Touch her son, Lord, bring health to his body and wholeness to his heart, guide him into safe and steady health, and heal the pain of the past. Give them both assurance of Your love, that You gave Your only Son for them, and that as Your adopted children they can cry Abba, Father and know they are Yours. Strengthen their faith, renew their hope, and lead them day by day in Your grace. Amen.
