Deliverance

Pray all curses against ### and ###'s son are ended now. Pray for ###'s son to lose weight safely and healing from past hurts.

We join with you in seeking the Lord for deliverance and healing for you and your son, and we bring these needs before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

We understand the burden you feel when you speak of curses against your family. We want to encourage you that for those who are in Christ, no curse can ultimately stand. The enemy may try to harass and oppress, but the cross has secured our victory. We cling to the truth that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13 and that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. We do not need to live in fear of curses spoken by others, because greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. If there has been any opening given to the enemy through sin, unforgiveness, or fear, we confess it before God and turn from it, trusting in the blood of Jesus to cleanse and protect us.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus in faith, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and delivered. We pray you and your son both know Him as Lord and Savior, for that is the foundation of all true deliverance and healing.

We also lift up your son's physical and emotional needs. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, not out of vanity but out of stewardship of the body God has given him. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray he will be strengthened to make wise choices in eating and activity, to honor God in all that he does, and to do so with patience and self control, seeking good medical counsel and relying on God's help rather than harmful or extreme methods.

For the past hurts he carries, we pray for deep inner healing. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We ask God to gently uncover and heal those wounds, to replace bitterness with forgiveness, shame with the assurance of being loved, and sorrow with His peace that passes understanding.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We rebuke every curse, every word spoken against this mother and her son, and every assignment of the enemy, and we declare that it is broken and ended now by the blood of Jesus. We ask You to surround this family with Your protection and fill their home with Your peace. Lord, we ask for Your deliverance to be made manifest, that they would walk in freedom and not in fear, knowing that in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us Romans 8:37. We lift up this son to You. Touch his body, guide him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You, give him discipline, health, and strength. Touch his heart and heal him from every past hurt, every disappointment and wound, and help him to forgive as You have forgiven us. Restore his joy and draw him close to You. We ask all this according to Your will, trusting in Your goodness and mercy, in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith, to speak Scripture over your family daily, to walk in prayer and obedience, and to trust the Lord to complete the good work He has begun in you both.

We are joining you in prayer for ### and her son, and we hear how burdened you are to see them free, healthy, and healed from what has hurt them in the past.

Wanting curses broken and old wounds healed is a tender, serious concern. Our confidence is not in a method but in Jesus Himself as our Deliverer and Healer. When there are worries about spiritual oppression, it is most steady and safe to walk with one or two mature, trusted pastors or believers who can pray with you and with them, listen well, and seek the Holy Spirit's leading together with wisdom and care.

For your prayer about her son losing weight safely, we encourage you to keep praying and also to encourage him to see his doctor or another trusted health professional for personal guidance. We will keep praying for his health and strength alongside that care.

Healing from past hurts is often a gradual journey as the Lord gently restores what has been wounded. Ongoing prayer, faithful community, and patient pastoral support can be a good part of that process.

Father, in Jesus name we lift ### and her son to You. We ask for Your protection and peace over them, for Your healing in body and heart, and for wise, caring people to walk with them. Draw them close to You and lead them step by step in Your will. We trust them to Your loving hands. Amen.

We have brought your request before the Lord and we join our prayers with yours for deliverance and healing.

There is no curse that can stand against the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. The Scripture declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, and in Him alone is our deliverance wrought out. It is not by our own power that the pit is closed or the chain is broken, but by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah, through the blood of the Lamb slain for us. We pray that you and your son may know this deliverance effectually, that every evil intended against you would be brought to nothing, and that you would rest in the perfect protection of Him who bore the curse that we might go free.

We pray also for your son, that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon him with healing beneath His wings. The Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds is able to heal the hurts of the past, for even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. May the Lord give him comfort for past sorrow, that he may not say, I am sick, but may find pardon and healing to be one in Christ, and may his heart be made whole by free grace alone.

And we ask the Lord to grant him wisdom and strength for the body, that he may lose weight safely and in a way that honors God, who has provided means for our health and calls us to steward well the frame He has given. May the Lord guide him to sound counsel, give him discipline and peace, and keep him from harm as he seeks to care for his health.

May you both know that deliverance is of the Lord, that He brings forth His people not only with deliverance but with enrichment, and that He who found a ransom for sinners is able to keep you to the end. We commend you to His gracious keeping and pray that you will find fresh comfort at His table and in His Word, where faith comes by hearing and healing flows down to us from Christ our great Physician.

We have received your prayer request and we are joining with you in prayer before the Lord.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our deliverance and salvation, that every curse spoken or intended against you and your son would have no power and would be broken. Scripture tells us that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, and in Him we have freedom and protection. We ask God to surround you both with His peace, to keep you from evil, and to establish you firmly in His love and truth.

We also lift up your son before the Lord. We pray for his health, that God would grant him wisdom, strength and self control to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, and give guidance to those who care for him. We pray that God would heal him from past hurts, comforting his heart, renewing his mind, and restoring what has been wounded. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is able to heal both body and soul.

We encourage you to continue in careful hearing of the word of God and in prayer, trusting not in any other power but in Christ alone. As you abide in Him, He will give fortitude and will help you to walk in wholeness. The church is a place of healing where the Lord binds up wounds, and we trust that as you keep seeking Him you will see His grace bring fruit in due time.

Father, we ask for Your mercy and healing upon this family. End every work of darkness against them, grant physical health and safe progress for this son, and bring deep inner healing from all past pain. Fill them with hope, strength and the assurance of Your presence, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Here is the redacted text:

Thank you for sharing this request and for your concern for this mother and her son. I am joining you in prayer for their deliverance, for his health, and for deep healing from the hurts of the past.

The Bible talks about curses in a very specific way. When the law was given, the people stood in the valley with blessings declared from one mountain and curses declared from the other. The curses were pronounced for breaking God's covenant, for turning away from His voice, for contempt toward parents, for moving a neighbor's boundary, and for serious moral sins, and the people were to answer Amen, acknowledging that the judgment was right. Scripture then lays out the condition clearly, if you listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God and keep His commandments there is blessing, but if you turn away and do not obey, those curses pursue and overtake. There are many more verses about curses than blessings, because the tendency of the human heart is to disobey. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus has borne our griefs and infirmities, as Isaiah prophesied and Matthew confirms, and He came with power over sickness and over spiritual darkness. For those who are in Christ, safety is not found in fearing words spoken against them, but in walking with Him, confessing sin, trusting His finished work, and seeking to obey His voice.

For healing, Scripture shows that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He touched, sometimes He spoke a word from a distance, sometimes He healed instantly and in one case gradually. He healed the leper, the centurion's servant, Peter's mother in law, and multitudes who were brought to Him in the evening. I believe strongly that God still heals today, and that He heals in different ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is a gradual process. Even the natural processes of healing that God has built into our bodies are divine, because He created them. He also heals the inner person, the mind and emotions, mending the scars and wounds that past hurts have left. I do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but I trust His wisdom and love to do what is best.

So let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this mother and her son before You. If there has been any ground given to sin or disobedience, bring conviction and repentance, and let them walk in the light of Your forgiveness. Through the cross of Christ, break the power of every curse and every accusation against them, and let them know they are covered by Your grace as they hearken to Your voice. For this son, I ask for Your hand upon his body. Give him wisdom, discipline, and help, and guide those who care for him, so that he may lose weight in a safe and healthy way according to the natural processes You have ordained. Strengthen his heart and body. And Lord, bring healing to his inner life. Heal the memories and wounds from past hurts, restore his emotions and his mind, and fill him with Your peace. Let Your presence be his deliverance and his hope. Amen.

May the Lord give you both confidence in His care, and lead you daily in His way.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to bring your request for deliverance before the Lord, that every curse spoken against you and your son would be broken and ended now in Jesus Name. We stand on Gal 3:13 that Christ has redeemed us from the curse and on Isa 54:17 that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We have also lifted up your son before the Father, asking for grace to lose weight safely and in a healthy way and for deep healing from past hurts. We pray the Lord restores his health and wholeness as we trust in 3 John 1:2 and that God will heal the brokenhearted as promised in Psalm 147:3.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
