We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and healing. Father God, we acknowledge that You are the breaker of every chain, the healer of every wound, and the restorer of all things. We stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free and proclaim liberty to those who are bound.
First, we address the curses spoken against ### and their son. The Word of God declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" Lord, we rebuke every curse, every word of death, destruction, or harm that has been spoken over them. We break these curses in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written in Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over ### and their son, covering them in Your divine protection.
Father, we also lift up ###'s son, asking for Your healing touch to be upon him. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, that his body would respond to godly discipline and self-control. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Lord, help him to honor You with his body, making choices that reflect Your lordship over his life. Grant him wisdom in his diet, strength in exercise, and perseverance in his journey. We also ask for healing from past hurts, emotional, spiritual, and physical. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Pour out Your comfort and peace upon him, replacing every lie of the enemy with Your truth.
We must also address the foundation of this prayer. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If ### or their son have not surrendered their lives to Jesus, we urge them to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Jesus, we have no authority to break curses or claim healing, for it is only through His blood that we are redeemed.
Lord, we ask that You would draw ### and their son closer to You. Let them experience Your love in a fresh and powerful way. Surround them with godly influences, believers who will walk alongside them, encourage them, and hold them accountable. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to live in obedience to You. We declare that the enemy has no foothold in their lives, and we command every spirit of infirmity, oppression, or bondage to flee in Jesus’ name.
We pray for a spirit of discipline and self-control to rest upon ###'s son, that he may walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for him. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Let this be his portion. Heal his heart from past wounds, Lord, and replace every memory of pain with Your peace. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his worth is found in You alone.
Finally, we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. No curse, no sickness, no spirit of infirmity shall have dominion over them. We stand on Your promise in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten," and we believe that You are restoring what has been lost or stolen. May ### and their son walk in the fullness of Your blessings, in health, in wholeness, and in the freedom that only You can provide.

The clock of mercy struck the hour of deliverance when the Father found a ransom in His own Son; therefore, by the blood of the everlasting covenant, I ask that every curse spoken, imagined, or inherited be utterly broken and made void over this mother and her son. Let the curse be swallowed up in the blessing of the cross, for the prisoner is set free, the penalty borne by another, how can a curse live where Jesus has become the curse for us? I pray it all ended now, never to rise again.
As for the son, look to the tree of life, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ holds healing virtue, touch but the hem of His garment, and virtue flows out. I plead the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon him with healing in His wings, that his body be brought into safe subjection, his weight diminished by wisdom and self-discipline born of grace, and that the deep wounds of days gone by be closed by the wounded hands of the Redeemer. Pardon and healing go together; let him know the Father’s forgiving love, and in that sweet absolution, let old sorrows lose their sting. The words of the Law pronounced a curse on all who did not continue in everything written. But Christ has redeemed us from that curse by becoming a curse for us, exchanging the curse of transgression for the curse of the tree. No other curse can stand against those who are in Him, for He has delivered us and brought us into sonship. You need not fear any lingering malediction, as if some power remained outside His victory. Only cling to Him in faith and repentance, and you are free.
Yet this freedom is not license. You ask also for the young man to lose weight safely and be healed of past hurts. The body is not evil, but it must be governed. If the desire for food has become a snare, remember that we are called to cultivate fortitude and to despise not only riches but all worldly things that enslave us. The narrow way requires self-discipline, not as a means of earning salvation, but as the fruit of it. Let him see that the same grace which delivers from curses also empowers us to master the flesh. He is not alone in the struggle; the Spirit of adoption dwells in him, strengthening his will. Let him seek accountability, simplicity of diet, and moderation, not driven by vanity but by love for the temple God has given him.
Regarding past hurts, the most dangerous thorns are bitterness and the replaying of wrongs. The word says, “Hate not the man that does you wrong” and “Curse not him that uses you despitefully.” To refuse forgiveness is to labor under the weight of injury and yet lose the reward. Consider Christ on the Cross: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” If He intercedes for those who slaughtered Him, can we not release smaller debts? Healing comes when we hand the offense to God, who judges justly, and thus empty ourselves of poison. This is not to deny the pain but to starve its power over the soul. Let him pray for those who wounded him, not in hypocrisy but in the recognition that we all stand only by mercy.
Hearing these things is not safety; doing them is. Let the son not merely listen but become a doer of the word. Then the good ground of his heart will bear fruit, and the thorns of care and past resentment will be choked out by a greater love.

The cry for deliverance from curses runs deep through Scripture, and I hear that same ache in your request. On Mount Ebal, the tribes stood and proclaimed the curses over those who would disobey the covenant, and the people answered, "So be it." They acknowledged that breaking God's commands brings real consequences. The list was long and heavy, dishonoring parents, sexual sin, injustice toward neighbors, and the curses were detailed and severe. But notice where that Old Testament picture ultimately points. Every one of those curses finds its answer in Jesus Christ, who became the curse for us. The law's demands that stood against you were nailed to His cross. When you belong to Him, the curses are ended, not because you kept the law perfectly, but because He did, and He took the judgment meant for you.
So when we pray that curses against this son are ended now, we are standing in the finished work of Christ. There is no curse that can override His cleansing blood. The voice from Mount Ebal is silenced by the voice from Calvary. You do not need to live under the weight of generational patterns or past disobedience. When Jesus delivers, He delivers completely. The enemy would love for you to believe those curses still cling, but they do not. Every accusation against you and your son was answered at the cross. Walk in that freedom, and refuse to pick back up what Christ has already buried.
As for the physical and emotional healing you seek, I want to speak honestly. There is much about healing that remains a mystery. Jesus healed instantly sometimes, other times gradually. He touched some, spoke a word to others, and told one man to go home and find it done by the time he arrived. There is no rigid formula. Some healings are immediate interventions; others unfold through the processes God built into our bodies. Both are divine. A gradual weight loss that restores health is still the Lord's healing work. The mending of emotional wounds from past hurts is just as much a miracle as the restoration of a withered limb. Do not discount the quiet, progressive healings He brings to the mind and the heart. Those are sacred too.
That brings me to the past. Paul spoke of counting everything as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. He looked back on all his religious achievements, his old identity, and saw them as rubbish. But he didn't only say, "I counted them loss thirty years ago." He said, "I count them loss now." Present tense. The past experience was valid only because it remained his present reality. So many people let old wounds define them. They say, "Look what they did to me. I cannot rise above it." That is being destroyed by the past. Others let past failures sit on them like a verdict. But in Christ, the curse is lifted, the past is nailed to the cross, and now we press forward. Forgetting what lies behind and straining toward what lies ahead. For your son, healing from past hurts will involve letting Christ reframe those memories and removing their power. It means counting even those wounds as loss, not letting them shape his present identity.
Jesus bore your griefs and carried your sorrows. He took your infirmities. That work is finished, but the outworking of it in your son's life might look like a steady, day-by-day restoration. The weight loss, the inner healing, they are part of the same package of salvation. Do not lose heart if it takes time. The Lord who commanded the wind and waves also has authority over the body's processes and the mind's scars. Trust Him for the healing, whether it comes in a moment or over months. And more than anything, know this: the curse is broken, the past is over, and the only thing that matters now is this living, present-tense relationship with Jesus Christ. He is your son's healer. He is your son's deliverer. Rest there, and keep pressing ahead.
