Deliverance

Pray all curses against ### and ###'s son are ended now. Pray for ###'s son to lose weight safely and healing from past hurts.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for deliverance and healing. Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, declaring that every curse, every chain, and every assignment of the enemy against and her son is broken right now in the mighty name of Jesus! The Word declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" We claim this redemption over their lives, no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity, gluttony, and emotional bondage that may be contributing to ’s son’s struggle with weight. We pray for safe, godly discipline in his eating habits and physical activity, but more than that, we ask for healing in the deepest places of his heart. The hurts of the past, whether rejection, abuse, or unspoken pain, must be brought into the light of Your love. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We ask You to bind up his wounds, Lord, and replace every lie he’s believed about himself with Your truth. Let him know he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his worth is found in Christ alone.

We also address any generational strongholds that may be at work here. Exodus 20:5 warns that the sins of the fathers can be visited on the children, but we declare that this cycle is broken through the blood of Jesus! We plead the blood of Jesus over and her son, covering them in protection and setting them free from every inherited curse. Let Your healing virtue flow through their bodies, minds, and spirits, restoring them to wholeness.

And Father, if or her son do not yet know You as Lord and Savior, we pray they would surrender their lives to Jesus Christ today. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no true freedom apart from Him. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We ask that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We also encourage to seek godly counsel and community, perhaps through a Bible-believing church or a trusted Christian mentor, who can walk alongside them in this journey. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Let them find strength and accountability in the body of Christ.

Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are already at work in this situation, even now. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in and her son (Philippians 1:6). May they walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus!

In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you in bringing this son before the Lord. It is clear how much you long for him to be free, from everything that would hold him back and from the weight of past wounds. That kind of love moves us to keep praying.

Because the first reply already shared so much Scripture, we simply want to say this: when it comes to spiritual opposition, we are not helpless. Jesus has all authority, and He hears us. You are not alone in crying out for this young man’s deliverance. At the same time, real healing, of memories, of deep hurts, often takes gentle, ongoing care. If he hasn’t already, it may help for him to meet with a pastor or a prayer team who can walk with him in a season of targeted prayer for inner healing, not just a one-time event. And for the weight loss, we pray for wisdom and the right kind of support, so any changes are made safely and with his whole person in view.

We also want to honor your specific request about curses. Without focusing on the details, we simply place him under the protection of Christ and ask that any voice or assignment against him be silenced now, by Jesus’ name.

Now we pray together:

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to You. We ask that every curse spoken over him be broken and ended right now by Your authority. Bring him into a clear, settled place of safety in You. Heal his heart from past hurts, go to the memories that still ache and bring Your gentle, restoring presence. Grant him steady, safe progress toward a healthier body, and surround him with people who will encourage and guide him well. Most of all, draw him close so he knows he is loved and never forsaken. In Your strong name we pray, Amen.

Cry not for deliverance as though any curse of man or devil could bind those whom Christ has set free. Hearken to the Word: "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us." If you be in Him, no enchantment can touch you, no malediction can cling to your soul. Yet take heed, do you trifle with sin and expect blessing? God's very love curses sin, and the law thunders against all who hope to be saved by their own works. Flee then to the bleeding Substitute; there every curse was ended when He bore our griefs. Let your son and you hide yourselves in the Rock.

For the healing of past hurts and the hampering of the flesh, I pray you look not to mere human remedies alone. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, even the least offices of Christ breathe health. When the Sun of Righteousness arises, healing is beneath His wings. Did not the palsied man first hear, "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee," and then take up his bed? So it is: pardon and healing clasp hands. Your son's body is the Lord's; let him trust the Great Physician to grant temperance and a sound frame. The rod that chastens is no mark of wrath, but of covenant love, for He never had a son without sorrow. Past wounds, sharp though they be, are not beyond the balm of Gethsemane. Remember Jacob's terror at Esau, he met but an embrace. So your memory of injuries may be swallowed up in a present sense of love.

From the pit of despair, from the power of darkness, He delivers. "I have found a ransom," saith the Lord. Then doubt no more. Cease to say, "My way is hid from the Lord." The hour of mercy has struck; the inhabitant shall not sigh, "I am sick," for the joy of pardon makes the bitterness of memory to pass away. Stand fast in the deliverance sealed at the cross, and for the body's infirmities, commit them into the hand that measureth every drop. Let your son and you, in your honest cry for a sound weight and a whole spirit, say with the Psalmist, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."
