Silas
Beloved of All
I know you are longing for every curse to be lifted and for deep, lasting healing in ###’s life, both in his body and in the wounds he carries inside. Your cry does not go unheard.
Long ago, when the law was given, curses were proclaimed from Mount Ebal for those who turned from the Lord’s voice. The people would cry out, “Amen,” soberly accepting what rebellion deserved. Scripture is honest: the fruit of disobedience, whether personal or generational, can feel like a weight that pursues us, even to the point of brokenness in body and mind. But the heart of the matter is not that we try to break curses by our own strength or through a formula. The curse that once stood against us has already been met in its fullness. The Messiah hung on a tree and became a curse for us. For all who are in Him, the condemnation is gone. Deliverance from every curse is not something we must beg God to accomplish as though it were still pending; it is something we receive by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
So I can pray with confidence that any sense of judgment or lingering oppression over ### be silenced, not because we ignore the law, but because the Son sets us free. Let every voice of accusation be drowned out by the blood that speaks a better word. In that safe place of belonging to Christ, we then look to Him for healing.
You have asked for weight loss and for healing from past hurts. Healing is a work of God, and His ways are higher than ours. Sometimes He grants an instant change; often He walks us through a gradual process. When Jesus healed, He wasn’t confined to a single pattern. He spoke a word for some, touched others, and sent still others on their way so that as they went they were cleansed. Do not be discouraged if the answer unfolds step by step. Physical restoration, the mending of a body weighed down, is as divine as any sudden miracle. The God who fashioned the body also set its processes in place, and He can strengthen ### through wise discipline, renewed habits, and sustained prayer.
And beyond the physical, there is the inner healing. The Lord heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Even when scars remain in memory, He can restore what has been stolen in the emotions and thoughts. I have seen the Spirit strengthen people in their inner being, doing a healing that perhaps isn’t visible outwardly but is very real. The aim is wholeness, the kind that sent the healed leper back to Jesus, shouting thanks, and receiving more than skin deep restoration: the forgiveness of sins and a place in God’s family.
We will not lay guilt on ### if progress feels slow. Nor will we pretend to know all the reasons some are healed one way and others another. Paul himself, through whom mighty healings came, saw a dear coworker nearly die from sickness. God’s sovereignty remains, and His grace is sufficient. What we can do is keep turning to the Lord with trust, counting everything else as loss compared to knowing Him, and believing that He is able to make ### whole, body, soul, and spirit.
Let us pray: Father, we lean on the finished work of Christ, who broke every curse. Let peace reign over this household. For ###, we ask for deliverance from the weight of the past and for wisdom and strength in the journey toward health. Heal the hidden hurts. Let him be strengthened by Your Spirit in his inner man, and let his body reflect Your restoring care. Keep him from discouragement, and let him see Your goodness as he walks forward. Amen.
