We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and her son before the Lord. Father God, we know that You are a God of deliverance and healing, and we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain, curse, and assignment of the enemy over their lives. The Word declares in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" Lord, we declare that any curse spoken, inherited, or sent against ### or her son is nullified by the blood of Jesus. Every word, every generational iniquity, every spiritual oppression, we command it to be broken now in the mighty name of Jesus!
We rebuke the spirit of heaviness, the spirit of infirmity, and every lying spirit that has whispered shame, rejection, or unworthiness into the heart of ###'s son. The enemy has no legal right to his mind, body, or emotions. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we declare that freedom over him today. We pray for his physical health, Lord, that You would guide him into safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and strength. Give him discipline, but also grace, as he honors his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Heal his metabolism, regulate his appetite, and renew his energy. Let him see himself as You see him, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
Father, we also lift up the deep wounds of his past. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Where there has been pain, betrayal, or abandonment, we ask for Your healing balm to flow. Replace bitterness with forgiveness, anger with peace, and loneliness with the knowledge of Your unfailing love. Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and counsel who will speak life into him. Let him encounter Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, so that he knows he is never alone.
We also address any areas where sin may have opened doors to the enemy’s influence. If there has been unforgiveness, rebellion, or ungodly soul ties, we pray for conviction and repentance. If there has been involvement in occult practices, generational sins, or idolatry, we renounce those ties in Jesus’ name and command every evil spirit to flee. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and we claim that cleansing for ###'s son today.
Lord, we ask for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit. Let him walk in the fullness of Your love, joy, and peace. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a passion to serve You. May his testimony be one of victory, and may his life bring glory to Your name.

Forgiveness and release don’t always happen overnight, but Jesus meets us in those places with unexpected mercy.
And regarding the spiritual oppression you sense, we agree with you in asking Jesus to shatter any hold of curses or darkness. There is no curse so strong that Christ’s finished work cannot break. Sometimes we also find that consciously forgiving those who have hurt us, and renouncing anything that has opened a door to the enemy, clears away obstacles to lasting peace.

Let such prayers be driven out by the truth: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. If you are in Him, no curse can cling to you, for the blessing of Abraham has come upon the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. Forget the witchery of so-called curses muttered by darkness; they are but air. The Son has set you free, and you are free indeed. God has delivered you from the power of darkness and translated you into the kingdom of His dear Son. What have you to do with the noise of archers or the threats of the pit? Nothing. Look to the well of salvation and drink. The Lamb of God has broken every chain.
For the son, the Lord who brought Israel forth with silver and gold, and among whose tribes there was not one feeble person, is the same healer of body and soul. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Pray that the boy may safely shed the burden, but let the deeper work be the healing of those inward scars. Past hurts fester when we nurse them in silence; bring them to the great Physician whose wounds have bought our peace. The Lord who forgives all iniquities also heals all diseases. There is medicine in the pierced side of Jesus for every inward wound.
Cast out the foul insinuation that God has forgotten you. It is the darkest arrow from the enemy’s bow, shot when we are down. But He has not forsaken His own. Though you have been broken in the place of dragons, yet He has heard your cry. Let faith open its mouth now and say, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” The very God who brought you from the horrible pit and the miry clay will yet perfect that which concerns you. Look to the wells cleared from the foe, and drink again of the promises. He shall bring you forth not feeble, but enriched by deliverance, with a song upon your lips.

Your concern for curses is misplaced, for no malediction can stand against those who are in Christ Jesus. The apostle counted all things loss for the excellency of knowing Him, and if this son belongs to the Lord, then deliverance is already his through faith. What you call a curse is but a shadow that flees before the light of the Gospel. Pray instead that he clings to Christ, for He alone has broken every chain and nullified every accusation. The real danger is not some uttered spell, but a soul still captive to worldly things, soft and unmanly in virtue, as I have often taught.
Now, regarding his weight and past hurts, you look to the body and the memory of wounds, but the root lies deeper. No amount of careful eating will heal a spirit that feeds on bitterness or seeks comfort in what perishes. Let him fast not only from food but from resentment, and let him bring his hurts to the true Physician. There is a gain in suffering wrong thankfully, for it proves a contempt of earthly things and stores up reward in heaven. Encourage him to cast not away his confidence, which has great recompense; to lose physical bulk is a small matter compared to shedding the weight of sin and self-pity.
Why do you fix your eyes on these outward things as if they held his salvation? Wealth and health are not evils, but they can enslave, drawing the soul from God to mammon. Let the son ask himself whether his desire for change is a longing for vanity or for holiness. If he truly despises riches of body and past glories, he will bear this affliction with thanksgiving, and the healing will follow, whether in this life or the next. The Lord does not promise ease, but He promises His presence in the trial, and that is enough. Pray then for a right spirit, for a cleansing of the inner man, and leave the rest to God, who works all things for our good when we love Him.
