Your request brings before the Lord a deep need, and the very mention of curses points us straight to the heart of the gospel. There is real power in words spoken against us, and Scripture shows enemies like Balaam trying to hire curses against God’s people. But God refused to let His people be cursed, declaring them blessed. That same God is your refuge now. Any curse spoken over your son is null and void because of what Jesus accomplished. He became a curse for us when He hung on the tree. On that cross, He took the full weight of the curse of sin, the thorns, the sweat, the death that Adam’s fall brought, and He exhausted it. So you can stand firm: there is no curse left for those who are in Christ.

Since Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, every threat, every malicious word, every hex aimed at your son is broken under His feet. You don’t need to hire protection or live in fear; the blood of Jesus has already silenced every accusation. Pray with confidence, not begging God to lift a curse, but thanking Him that He already has. The blessing of Abraham, promised long ago, now flows to us through faith, wholeness, provision, peace.

Now, for the specific needs you mentioned. Weight loss and healing from past hurts are part of the restoration God desires for His children. The Scriptures show us that healing can come in various ways, sometimes it’s instantaneous, like a word spoken and a body made whole. But often it’s a gradual process, like the lepers who were cleansed as they walked. Don’t lose heart if change doesn’t happen overnight. The medical guidance you seek, the small daily choices, the emotional scars slowly losing their sting, all of this can be divine healing unfolding step by step. The same Lord who created the body’s ability to mend is at work in your son’s body and mind.

Past hurts can feel like a lingering curse, but Jesus bore not only our physical ailments but our inner wounds as well. When he was on the cross, the crown of thorns was a sign that He took the curse of the earth and all its brokenness upon Himself. That includes the pain of memories, the weight of shame, the habits formed in suffering. He is gentle and unhurried; He will heal those deep places, bringing forgiveness and making him whole in ways that go far beyond the physical. Remember the one leper who returned to give thanks, in that moment he received more than a clean skin; he was made a true son of God, restored in soul and body.

So let’s pray together: Lord, we thank You that Jesus became a curse for us, that every curse spoken against this son is silenced and has no power. We declare that he stands under Your blessing alone. Grant him wisdom and perseverance to lose weight safely, guiding each step as a work of Your creating power. Heal the wounds from his past, soothe the memories, mend the emotions, and let him know the freedom of being fully loved by You. Give him patient endurance if the process is gradual, and eyes to see Your hand at every stage. In the name of Jesus, who redeemed us from death to life, amen.
