We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ###, ###, and their precious son ###. Father God, we know that addiction is a fierce battle, one that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy the lives of those ensnared by it. But we also know that You are greater than any chain, any stronghold, and any struggle. We declare Your power over this situation and ask for Your mighty hand of deliverance to break every bond of addiction in their lives.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ. We speak freedom over ### and ###, for it is written in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We pray that they would turn to You, the only true source of healing and restoration. Help them to see the destruction their choices are bringing not only to themselves but to their son, ###. Father, we ask that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the path of righteousness.
We must address the reality of their situation with truth and love. ### and ### are living together in a way that does not align with Your Word. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman. In 1 Corinthians 6:18, we are told, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We pray that they would honor You with their bodies and their relationship, seeking marriage if they are committed to one another, rather than continuing in a lifestyle that dishonors You.
Father, we also lift up little ###. We ask that You would protect his heart, mind, and spirit from the chaos and instability that addiction brings. We pray that he would know Your love, even in the midst of his parents' struggles. Surround him with godly influences, perhaps through family, church, or mentors, who can speak life and truth into his young life. We declare that ### will not be defined by his parents' mistakes but will grow up to know You as his Savior and Lord.
We pray for wisdom and strength for the family members supporting them. It is not easy to watch loved ones struggle, but we know that Your grace is sufficient. Help those who are walking alongside ### and ### to extend love without enabling sin, to speak truth without condemnation, and to point them continually to the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You would draw ### and ### to salvation if they do not already know You. There is no deliverance apart from the name of Jesus. In Acts 4:12, we read, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray that they would confess their sins, repent, and turn to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Only then will true transformation begin.
We also pray for a spirit of humility and teachability over them. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May they surrender their plans, their addictions, and their lives to You, trusting that Your ways are higher and Your plans for them are good.
Father, we ask that You would provide them with the resources they need, godly counsel, recovery programs, and a community of believers who can walk with them on this journey. Surround them with people who will pray for them, hold them accountable, and encourage them in their faith.
We declare healing over their bodies, minds, and spirits. We speak restoration over their family and ask that You would mend what has been broken. We pray for financial provision, emotional stability, and spiritual growth. Most of all, we pray that they would come to know You in a deep and personal way, experiencing the freedom and peace that only You can give.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
