We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith, salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no victory apart from Him. The Bible tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). If the individuals mentioned in this request do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray they would surrender their lives to Him, for He alone breaks every chain and sets the captive free.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or brought against these precious souls. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every generational curse, every word of witchcraft, and every assignment of darkness. The Word says, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, bondage, and oppression that has sought to torment them. We command every curse to be nullified, broken, and sent back to the pit of hell where it belongs. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You, Lord, shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We lift up this young man, the son mentioned in this request, and we pray for his complete healing, body, soul, and spirit. Father, we ask that You would touch his physical body and grant him the strength and discipline to lose weight in a way that honors You. Help him to see himself as You see him, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Give him wisdom in his choices, self-control in his appetites, and perseverance in his journey. We declare that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for restoration and health in every area.
Lord, we also pray for healing from past hurts. The enemy has sought to wound this young man’s heart, but we declare that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would bring to light any unforgiveness, bitterness, or pain that has taken root in his soul. Give him the grace to forgive those who have hurt him, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Let Your love and peace flood his heart, driving out every fear, rejection, and insecurity. We speak life, joy, and wholeness over him in Jesus’ name.
We also want to gently address the mention of curses in this request. While we take spiritual warfare seriously, we must be cautious not to give the enemy more credit than he is due. The Bible tells us that "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Our victory is in Christ, and we do not need to live in fear of curses or dark forces. Instead, we stand firm in the authority we have in Jesus, knowing that He has already disarmed the powers and principalities (Colossians 2:15). We encourage this family to focus on walking in the light, renewing their minds with God’s Word, and living in the freedom that Christ has already secured for them.
Father, we pray that this young man would come to know You intimately, if he does not already. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and let him experience the depth of Your love. May he grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). Surround him with godly mentors and friends who will speak life into him and encourage him in his walk with You. We declare that his future is bright, his steps are ordered by You, and his life will bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
