We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without this, no prayer for deliverance or healing can truly take root.
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse that has been spoken or brought against these precious lives. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or bitterness, and every spiritual oppression that has taken hold. In the name of Jesus, we command these curses to be broken now, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up the son in this request, praying for his physical and emotional healing. Father, we ask that You would guide him in safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your wisdom and strength. Help him to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to seek You first in all things. We pray for healing from past hurts, every wound, every rejection, every lie that has taken root in his heart. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Let Your love and truth wash over him, restoring his mind and spirit.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your protection and peace. Let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7), and let Your Holy Spirit fill them with hope and purpose. If there are areas of sin or unforgiveness in their lives, we pray that You would reveal them and lead them to repentance. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). May they walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them, no longer bound by the past but alive in Him.
We declare that this son is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his identity is found in Christ alone. May he grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52), and may his life bring glory to Your name. We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your perfect will for their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
