We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—our access to God comes only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for He alone breaks every chain and sets the captive free.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against every curse that has been spoken or sent against this family. The Bible declares that Christ became a curse for us so that we might be redeemed (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy against this mother and her son. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of bondage, every spirit of infirmity, and every lie that has taken root in their lives. We command every curse to be nullified and rendered powerless in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we lift up this young man who is struggling with his weight. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your divine design. You created his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we ask that You would renew his strength, restore his health, and guide him into habits that honor You. Give him discipline, wisdom, and a heart that seeks You above all else. May he find his worth and identity in Christ alone, not in the numbers on a scale or the opinions of others.
We also pray for healing from past hurts. Father, You are the God who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would touch this young man’s heart and bring deep emotional healing. Where there has been rejection, abandonment, or pain, we declare Your love and restoration. Let him know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround him with godly influences—mentors, friends, and a church family—that will speak life into him and encourage him in his walk with You.
We rebuke any spirit of gluttony, addiction, or emotional eating that may have taken hold. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare freedom from every stronghold and ask that You would fill this young man with Your Holy Spirit, giving him self-control and a hunger for righteousness.
Finally, Lord, we pray for this mother. Strengthen her faith as she stands in the gap for her son. Give her wisdom to guide him with love and truth, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May their home be a place of healing, restoration, and worship unto You.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working even now to bring breakthrough and deliverance. May this family walk in the fullness of Your promises, free from every curse and stronghold, and may they glorify You in all they do. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
