We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance, no healing, and no victory apart from Him. The Word declares, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are redeemed. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse over these precious lives. The enemy has no authority where the blood of Jesus has been applied. We declare that every generational curse, every word spoken in darkness, and every assignment of the enemy is broken now in the mighty name of Jesus! The Word of God tells us, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’"* (Galatians 3:13 WEB). By His stripes, we are healed, and by His blood, we are set free!
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and gluttony that may be contributing to this struggle with weight. We do not condemn, for we all fall short, but we declare that the power of sin is broken. The Word says, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). We pray for discipline, self-control, and wisdom in eating and exercise, that this young man’s body would be a vessel of honor for the Lord.
We also lift up the deep wounds of the past. The enemy seeks to keep us bound in unforgiveness, bitterness, and pain, but Jesus came to set the captives free. We declare that every hurt, every rejection, and every lie believed is uprooted by the truth of God’s Word. *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18 WEB). We pray for the healing of emotional wounds, that this young man would find his identity in Christ alone.
Father God, we come before You now in the name of Jesus, our Deliverer and Healer. We break every curse over these lives by the power of the blood of Jesus. We cancel every assignment of the enemy and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, that this young man would honor You with his body. We ask for Your healing touch over his heart, that he would know Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose for his life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory and freedom. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your mercy. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
