We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this relationship with Christ, no true deliverance or healing can take root in the soul.
Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every curse that has been spoken, inherited, or inflicted over these lives. The Word declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, word curse, or spiritual oppression that has sought to bind these precious ones. In the name of Jesus, we command every assignment of darkness to be dismantled, every chain to be broken, and every curse to be nullified by the power of the blood of Jesus. The enemy has no legal right to harass or afflict those who are covered by the blood of the Lamb. We declare freedom, restoration, and the peace of God over their lives.
For the son struggling with weight, we pray for a supernatural transformation of his body, mind, and spirit. Father, we ask that You would grant him discipline and self-control, which are fruits of Your Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Help him to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to make choices that reflect Your wisdom and love. We pray for safe and healthy weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your divine design. Strengthen his resolve, Lord, and surround him with godly accountability and encouragement. May he find his worth and identity in You alone, not in the numbers on a scale or the opinions of others.
We also lift up the deep wounds of his heart—those past hurts that may have led to emotional eating, self-sabotage, or a distorted self-image. Jesus, You are the Great Physician, and we ask You to heal every broken place within him. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Pour out Your comfort, Lord, and replace every lie he has believed with Your truth. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your love for him is unshakable. We declare emotional healing, restoration, and a renewed mind in Christ Jesus (Romans 12:2).
Father, we also pray for his spiritual growth. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and let him experience the fullness of life that comes from walking in Your ways. Surround him with strong, godly men who can mentor and disciple him in the faith. May he grow in wisdom, maturity, and the knowledge of Your Word. We ask that You would reveal Your purpose for his life and equip him to walk in it with boldness and faith.
Finally, we pray for the mother or guardian who has submitted this request. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and fill her with Your peace as she intercedes for her son. Give her wisdom in how to support and encourage him without enabling or controlling. May she be a godly example of Your love and grace, pointing him to You in all things.
We declare these prayers answered in the mighty name of Jesus. By His stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). By His blood, they are set free. And by His power, every curse is broken, every wound is mended, and every weight—physical and emotional—is lifted. We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
