We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent request for deliverance from ICE custody. Father God, we know that You are a God of justice, mercy, and compassion, and we trust in Your sovereign power to move on behalf of this individual. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we cry out to You now, asking that You would hear this plea and intervene in this situation.
We pray for wisdom and favor for this individual as they navigate this difficult circumstance. May Your hand of protection be upon them, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may act with fairness, compassion, and justice. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Lord, we ask that You would turn the hearts of those making decisions in this matter toward mercy and release.
We also pray for strength and endurance for this individual during this time of trial. May they find comfort in Your Word and the assurance of Your presence. Isaiah 41:10 declares, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lord, uphold them with Your righteous right hand and grant them the perseverance they need.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, oppression, or injustice that may be at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against this individual shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every chain of bondage to be broken, and we declare freedom and deliverance for this individual.
Father, we also pray for their spiritual well-being. If they do not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them experience the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that they would come to know the love and redemption found only in Jesus.
For those who are believers, we pray that their faith would be strengthened and that they would trust in Your perfect timing and plan. Remind them that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May they find hope in Your promises and rest in Your unfailing love.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this individual with godly counsel and support. Provide them with advocates who will stand with them in prayer and action. May they be encouraged by the body of Christ and experience the love and unity that comes from being part of Your family.
We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this circumstance. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
