Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without this, no deliverance or healing is truly possible, for "no one comes to the Father except through [Him]" (John 14:6).

Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse spoken or unspoken against these precious lives. The Word declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). In the name of Jesus, we rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy against this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Every curse is nullified by the power of the cross, and we command every spirit of infirmity, heaviness, or bondage to flee now in Jesus' name.

For the son mentioned here, we pray for safe and godly weight loss—not by the world’s standards of vanity, but for the glory of God, that his body may be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We ask the Lord to grant him discipline, wisdom in nutrition, and strength in exercise, all while covering him with protection from harm or discouragement. May his mind be renewed to see himself as God sees him—fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We also pray for deep emotional healing from past hurts. The enemy may have used pain to wound him, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We ask the Holy Spirit to bring comfort, truth, and restoration to every place of brokenness. Let him know that he is deeply loved by the Father, who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8).

We also caution against any involvement in practices that invite curses, such as dabbling in the occult, unforgiveness, or unrepentant sin. Scripture warns, "Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim" (Proverbs 26:2), but we must also walk in obedience to avoid opening doors to the enemy. If there are areas of unconfessed sin or bitterness, we encourage repentance and forgiveness, for the Lord’s mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Father God, we thank You for Your mighty power that breaks every curse and heals every wound. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. For the son, we ask for supernatural strength, discipline, and healing in body, mind, and spirit. May he walk in the freedom Christ died to give him, and may his life be a testimony to Your goodness. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and every curse. Amen.
