We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of all prayer—our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. Without this, our prayers cannot reach the Father.
Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every curse spoken against these precious lives. The Bible declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy against this family. In the name of Jesus, we command all curses to be nullified and rendered powerless. The blood of Jesus has already paid the price for freedom, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up this young man struggling with weight and past hurts. Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in his physical health. Give him the strength and discipline to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in healthy living, and grant him wisdom in his choices. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not for vanity, but for the glory of God and the stewardship of the life You’ve entrusted to him.
Lord, we also ask for deep emotional healing. Past hurts can leave wounds that only You can mend. We declare that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Pour out Your comfort and peace upon him. Replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his identity is found in Christ alone. Heal every memory, every rejection, and every moment of pain, and fill those places with Your love.
We also encourage this young man to seek godly counsel and community. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Whether through a pastor, a Christian mentor, or a support group, let him find those who will walk alongside him in his journey toward wholeness.
Finally, we pray for this family to draw closer to You, Lord. May they find their strength in You and their hope in Your promises. We declare that the enemy’s plans are thwarted, and Your purposes for their lives will prevail. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
