We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of all prayer—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so, for He alone can break every chain and set the captive free.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or unleashed against this family. The Bible declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We renounce and break every generational curse, word curse, hex, or spell that has been placed upon them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their minds, their bodies, and their spirits. Let every assignment of the enemy be dismantled now, in Jesus’ name.
For the son mentioned here, we pray specifically for his physical health. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon him. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your design for his body. Give him discipline, wisdom, and self-control, as the Word says, "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). Strengthen his body, renew his mind, and guard his heart as he seeks to honor You with his health.
We also lift up the deep wounds of his past. Father, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would heal every memory, every betrayal, every rejection, and every pain that has left its mark on his soul. Pour out Your love like a healing balm, and replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that he is Your beloved child, and that his identity is found in Christ alone.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of gluttony, addiction, or emotional eating that may have taken root. We declare that he is not a slave to his appetites but is set free by the power of the Holy Spirit. Fill him with Your peace, joy, and purpose so that he may walk in the fullness of life You have for him.
We also pray for his spiritual growth. Draw him closer to You, Lord. Let him hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6), and may he find his strength and satisfaction in You alone. Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and accountability partners who will encourage him in his walk with You.
Finally, we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus. No curse, no scheme of the enemy, and no weapon of darkness shall prevail against them. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. May they walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus. In His precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
