Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him into your heart as your Lord. Without this, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from being in Christ.

Now, we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or unleashed against these precious lives. The Word of God declares, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'"* (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, word curse, hex, or spiritual oppression that has sought to bind them. Every assignment of darkness against them is nullified in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and we command every evil spirit behind these curses to flee now in Jesus’ name.

For the son mentioned here, we pray for a supernatural work of God in his physical health. We ask the Lord to grant him discipline and wisdom in his eating habits, but more than that, we ask for a divine exchange—his weakness for God’s strength, his cravings for a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). We pray for safe and steady weight loss, not by the world’s standards of vanity, but for the glory of God, that his body would be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May the Lord renew his mind and body, giving him energy, vitality, and a testimony of God’s healing power.

We also lift up the deep wounds of his past. The enemy has no doubt used pain to isolate, shame, and keep him in bondage. But Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We pray for the Holy Spirit to bring healing to every memory, every rejection, every betrayal, and every moment of abuse or neglect. Let the love of the Father wash over him like a flood, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We declare that the spirit of heaviness is lifted, and in its place, the garment of praise is put on (Isaiah 61:3). May he encounter the living God in a fresh way, experiencing the depth of His love and the power of His redemption.

We also address any unconfessed sin in his life—whether it be bitterness, unforgiveness, or participation in occult practices—that may have opened doors to the enemy. If there has been involvement in witchcraft, New Age practices, or any form of idolatry, we urge repentance. The Word warns us, *"Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them"* (Leviticus 19:31). Confession and repentance bring cleansing and restoration (1 John 1:9). We pray for a spirit of humility and surrender to God’s will, that he would walk in the light as Christ is in the light (1 John 1:7).

Lastly, we pray for spiritual covering over this family. May the Lord raise up godly mentors, friends, and leaders in their lives who will speak truth, encourage righteousness, and hold them accountable. We declare that they are surrounded by the angels of God, who encamp around those who fear Him (Psalm 34:7). No curse, no scheme of the enemy, and no weapon of darkness will prevail against them.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). We thank You that by His stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand in agreement with Your Word, believing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them. We loose every blessing of heaven over their lives—health, peace, joy, and divine purpose. May they rise up as testimonies of Your goodness and power. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
