We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of all prayer—faith in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood, shed on the cross, that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly rebuke every curse and stronghold. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, no prayer for deliverance can stand.
Now, we stand in agreement with you, declaring that every curse spoken, generational, or self-inflicted against this family is broken in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). No weapon formed against you or your son shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, and bondage that has sought to oppress this family. We command them to flee now in Jesus' name!
We pray specifically for your son’s physical health, asking the Lord to guide him into safe and sustainable weight loss. May he seek the Lord’s wisdom in his choices, whether in diet, exercise, or rest. We declare that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for discipline and self-control to be his portion. Let him not be enslaved by unhealthy habits or emotional eating, but may he find his comfort and strength in Christ alone.
We also lift up his emotional healing from past hurts. The enemy seeks to use pain as a foothold to keep us in bondage, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We pray that every wound, every rejection, every moment of shame or guilt be brought to the cross. May the balm of Gilead—Jesus Himself—pour over his heart, bringing restoration and peace. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his identity is found in Christ, not in the opinions or actions of others.
Father God, we ask that You surround this family with Your angels, protecting them from every scheme of the enemy. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory, freedom, and joy. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them see the manifestation of Your promises in their lives. We declare that no curse shall have power over them, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We speak life, health, and wholeness over this son—mind, body, and spirit. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
