Deliverance Prayer

Your prayer has been heard and your pain is not hidden from the Lord. Thank you for bringing this heavy burden concerning your mother and the oppression you feel so openly before Christ. It is right to seek Him for deliverance, for wisdom, and for protection, and He invites you to cast your cares on Him.

Scripture teaches that the work of Christ has two great effects, deliverance from evil and supply of good. He came to deliver us from the curse and to bring us into sonship, so that we put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption. Your standing is not in your own strength but in Him. When you plead the blood of Jesus and cling to Christ alone for salvation, you are standing on the one true ground of deliverance. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is in His power that every stronghold of thought and desire can be brought down, as you prayed from 2 Corinthians 10.

You have spoken of witchcraft, manipulation, and sexual unfaithfulness. Scripture is clear that such things as hatred, strife, heresies and witchcraft do not come from our created nature but from a depraved moral choice, from earthly thoughts that trail upon the ground. It warns that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. This is why the call is not only for your protection but for repentance and truth. It is right to pray as you did from Luke 8 that what is hidden would be brought to light, and from John 8 that where there is bondage there would be true freedom in Christ. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sex belongs within that covenant alone. Unfaithfulness within marriage is sin against God and against the family, and it is not to be affirmed or blessed but to be confessed and turned from. So we pray not that God would bless any unfaithfulness, but that He would bring conviction, expose what is done in darkness, and lead your mother to repentance and to honoring of her marriage vow to your father.

You asked for wisdom to know how to navigate these attacks and for angels to encamp around you, standing on James 1 and Psalm 91. God promises to give wisdom generously when we ask, and He does promise that no weapon formed against you shall finally prosper as you walk with Him, as Isaiah 54 says. Yet He does not always promise immediate removal of every trial. At times He permits His people to pass through suffering, not to abandon them, but to teach them to despise the fear of death and to trust Him more deeply. As the Apostle said, the Lord delivered me from the lion's mouth, and will deliver me from every evil work, meaning He will not suffer His child to be lost to sin and condemnation. That greater deliverance, to be kept from sin and to be preserved for His heavenly kingdom, is even greater than being spared from outward danger. So we pray both for protection from harm and, even more, for preservation in holiness and peace.

In this season, be gentle in spirit even as you seek boundaries and truth. One who has been delivered ought not to reproach others with bitterness, but to pray for them and to give thanks for the grace that has kept him. If you are living uprightly, remember that this is not by your own virtue but by the grace of God, and that all have sinned and need mercy. This does not mean you should remain in entrapment or accept ongoing harassment. It means you can seek godly counsel, set wise and firm boundaries, and entrust judgment to God rather than carrying hatred. Consider your own life before God, commit your plans to the Lord as Proverbs 16 says, and let Him establish your steps.

Let me pray for you now.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy. We ask that You break every stronghold and foothold that seeks to hinder this Your child from following their calling, and bring every thought captive to Your obedience. Bring to light what has been done in darkness, and grant conviction where there is sin. Scatter every plan intended for harm, as You promised to Your people of old, and let no scheme prosper. Grant wisdom from above for every next step, and show clearly how to walk with both truth and grace toward a mother who is loved yet whose actions have caused deep wounds. We pray for this mother, that You would free her from the deceit of witchcraft and from sexual sin, that You would lead her to repentance, to faith in Christ alone, and to faithfulness in her marriage covenant. Rescue and establish this Your child, encamp Your angels around them, cover them with Your blood shed on the cross, and keep them from every evil work. Establish their work and their well being in You, that they may live as a child of God, free indeed. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen.

Continue to bring your requests to the Lord, remain in His Word, and seek the help of faithful pastors in your local church who can know you, counsel you face to face, and walk with you in wisdom and accountability. The Lord who has begun a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
