Deliverance Prayer

Your prayer for deliverance has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus Christ. Words spoken over us can wound deeply, and it is right to bring that pain to Him who hears and who judges righteously.

Scripture teaches that words are not light or empty. By our words we will be judged, and the word Christ has spoken will stand as witness. At the same time, rebuke belongs to the Lord. As it is written in Zechariah 3:2, The Lord rebuke you, Satan, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you. It is not our place to repay evil words with evil words, for we are warned not to speak evil against our neighbor even when we feel justified, but to leave judgment and rebuke to God. He alone can silence the accuser and cleanse the wounds that offensive words have left.

God does not always promise immediate removal of every affliction, but He does promise to be our strength within it, to teach us to despise the power of evil and to set us above it, and to fix our hope on the immortality and life He gives through His Son. Your security is not in what has been spoken over you by another person, but in what Christ has spoken over you, that you are His, redeemed by His blood, and called to be a child of light.

So let us pray together:

Lord Jesus Christ, we praise You and thank You and give You glory, for You alone are our Savior and our Judge. You see the words of offense that have been spoken and the hurt they have caused. In Your mercy, rebuke the accuser and every evil word spoken, and let the power of those words be broken. Wash away their sting with Your truth, heal the heart that has been wounded, and guard the lips and heart of Your servant so as not to return evil for evil. Speak Your word of life and forgiveness and deliverance over this soul, and let Your peace reign. Establish this one in Your grace, in holiness and in faith, and keep this one walking in Your way. In Your holy name we ask this, Amen.
