Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke all the ways in which my parents are being used by Satan, standing on Zechariah 3:2. Lord Jesus I ask that you correct my parents and any ill wishes of jealousy that they have towards me, standing on Romans 12:19. I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join with you in praising and glorifying our Lord Jesus and we thank Him with you for His mercy and deliverance. We stand with you in prayer for protection and for your parents, seeking God's will together in Jesus' name.

We hear your desire for deliverance and for the Lord to rebuke every way the enemy may be seeking to influence your family. Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Your parents are not your enemy. Even when we feel hurt or opposed by those closest to us, we are called to see them as souls loved by God who also need His grace, and to recognize that Satan seeks to steal, kill and destroy and to sow division in families 1 Peter 5:8.

You have stood on Zechariah 3:2 where Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan, and on Revelation 12:11 that they overcame him because of the Lamb's blood and because of the word of their testimony. We affirm with you that it is the Lord Himself who rebukes Satan, not us in our own strength, and that our victory is indeed through the precious blood of Jesus shed for us. As we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7.

We also gently encourage you concerning your parents. The Word tells us to honor your father and your mother that your days may be long Exodus 20:12 and children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right Ephesians 6:1. This command remains even when parents are imperfect or when we feel they misunderstand us or even harbor jealousy. If there has been jealousy, hurt words or actions, God sees it and He is just. You rightly stood on Romans 12:19 that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay. That means we can release any ill wishes, hurt, or accusation into His hands and choose to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. We are called to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Holding onto resentment or speaking accusation over our parents can give the enemy a foothold, while forgiveness and honor close the door to him.

We encourage you to continue to pray for your parents with love, that the Lord would correct, teach and draw them closer to Himself in His kindness, and that any jealousy or striving would be healed by His Spirit. We also encourage you to ask the Lord to search your own heart as well, that no bitterness would remain in you, and that you would walk in humility and love toward them.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for Your goodness and Your power to deliver. We glorify Your name, Lord Jesus, for You alone are our deliverer and our refuge. In Jesus' name we ask that You rebuke Satan and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to influence or divide this family, just as You have said Yahweh rebuke you, Satan Zechariah 3:2. We plead the blood of the Lamb over this dear one and over his parents, for we overcome by the blood of the Lamb Revelation 12:11. Lord, we place this family under Your protection and ask that every assignment of the enemy be broken and rendered powerless in Jesus' name.

Father, we lift these parents to You. You know their hearts and their needs. Correct them in Your love and mercy where correction is needed, heal any jealousy, hurt, or misunderstanding, and fill their hearts with Your love and peace. Help them to see their child through Your eyes and to bless and encourage the gifts You have given. We ask that You would also guard this one's heart, removing any bitterness or accusation, and helping him to honor his father and mother as You command, and to walk in forgiveness and grace. Let Your love reign in this home and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Clothe each one with the whole armor of God Ephesians 6:11 that they may stand firm. We ask You to bring reconciliation, understanding, and godly unity, and to let Your will be done in this family. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We hear how heavy this has felt with your parents, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord so honestly. Wanting peace in that relationship while also sensing spiritual opposition and jealousy can leave you feeling torn and weary.

We believe God cares for you and for your parents, and He sees the strain you are carrying. When family ties feel tense, it helps to keep your own heart anchored in Christ and to seek steady, wise support around you as you navigate what is yours to do and what is God's to work in them.

One step that often brings clarity is to share what you are experiencing with a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you personally. Talking it through face to face can help you sort next steps, keep healthy and respectful boundaries, and continue to honor your parents while you pray for healing in the relationship.

Father, we thank You for this child of Yours and for Your care over this family. We ask You to guard and cover them with Your peace, to give wisdom for each conversation and decision, and to bring healing where there has been hurt or jealousy. Draw each heart closer to You and help them walk in Your will day by day. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord, and it is right and good that you have sought deliverance at His throne of grace. The heart that feels pressed by those nearest in the family does well to bring all the necessities of the household before God, and there to plead the precious blood of the Lamb.

Scripture teaches us that deliverance from sin and from the power of darkness is solely by the power of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He has found a ransom, and therefore deliverance is certain, for the price has been paid by His own Son who bore the penalty of our iniquities. When the lamb was slain, He brought His people forth, and He brought them forth also with silver and gold, for our deliverance is attended with enrichment. So we may trust Him not only to keep us from the pit, but to enrich us with peace and grace in the midst of trial.

You have asked the Lord to rebuke what is evil, standing upon that word, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan, Zechariah 3:2. Remember that our great adversary is rebuked not by our strength, but by the Lord Himself. And you have well cited that vengeance belongeth unto the Lord, Romans 12:19. That truth is given to stay our hands and quiet our hearts. We are not to repay evil for evil, nor to cherish wrath, but to leave room for the righteous judgment of God, who sees all and will do right. We overcome evil with good, and we commit those who have grieved us into His faithful hands to correct and to chasten in love.

Concerning jealousy, the Word says it is cruel as the grave, Song of Solomon 8:6. Where love absorbs the heart, jealousy will guard its object, and when it is perverted by sin it becomes a bitter and destructive fire. There is indeed a holy jealousy which belongs to God alone, a pure and holy flame by which He guards His own, but human jealousy when it turns to ill wishes is a work of the flesh and must be repented of and forsaken. It is right therefore to pray that the Lord would correct and cleanse every such thought, in your parents and in ourselves, and that He would shed abroad His love in the heart.

We do not share the honor of our deliverance with God, yet we give our hearty assent to His salvation, for willingly as we seek Him, it remains true, He brought them forth. He is the God of peace who has prepared everything necessary for reconciliation, and He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. Let this be your hope for your household, that the same Lord who reconciled you to Himself by Jesus Christ is able to work reconciliation and peace within your family.

I stayed at the brook Jabbok, said one of old, and I said, Lord, give deliverance from him whom I think bloodthirsty. I crossed the brook full of fear and trembling, but I met my brother Esau, and he fell upon my neck and kissed me. So the Lord can turn the heart, and make even those we fear to become the instruments of His kindness toward us.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who delivered Israel with a mighty hand and who has delivered us from worse enemies by a greater salvation through Jesus Christ, we bless Thee that we are covered by the precious blood of the Lamb, by which we overcome, according to Revelation 12:11. We ask Thee to rebuke Satan and every work of darkness, and to deliver this Thy child from all fear and oppression. Correct, we pray Thee, whatsoever is amiss, and take away all jealousy and ill wishing, and pour out a spirit of love and of a sound mind. Teach us to leave vengeance in Thy hands, to honor father and mother as Thou hast commanded, and to seek peace and pursue it. Bring forth, we beseech Thee, deliverance attended with enrichment, and grant that after affliction Thy child may live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our ransom, who ever liveth to intercede for us. Amen.
