Deliverance Prayer

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke my ### and all his ill wishes towards me and words, standing on Zechariah 3:2. Telling me that I’m too old to work that they won’t give me work, which is a lie, I am not old and he’s trying to create a foothold over me that I will believe and second guess myself to lack confidence, I ask that you remove that foothold, and stronghold over me that my ### is trying to create, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Lord Jesus I also ask that you correct my ###'s anger towards me, as it is anger and jealousy he says that my brother is not to old when he is much older than me and that they will give him work, Lord Jesus that is strange that he is trying to make me feel that way, I ask that you root out his words off of me, and restore me Lord Jesus, standing on Jeremiah 12:14, and Isaiah 61:7. I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in praising and glorifying the Lord Jesus and we thank Him with you for His mercy and power to deliver. We stand in agreement with you against every lie, ill wish, and discouraging word that has been spoken over you, and we bring it before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name.

We hear the heaviness of what has been spoken to you, that you are too old to work and will not be given work, while your brother who is older will be given work. We discern with you that this is not truth but a tactic of the enemy to plant a foothold, to make you second guess yourself and to rob you of confidence. The tongue has great power, for death and life are in the power of the tongue, Proverbs 18:21, and we do not take lightly the effect of persistent negative words from a family member. Yet we know that no weapon formed against you will prevail when you stand in Christ, and that the words of man cannot override the purpose of God for your life.

We rebuke that lie over you and we ask the Lord to rebuke every ill wish and jealous and angry word, just as it is written, Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan, Zechariah 3:2. We declare that you are not disqualified by age, for our confidence is not in age or in the opinions of others but in the Lord who establishes our steps. We agree with you that this foothold and stronghold must be torn down. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We ask the Lord to demolish every imagination that you are too old, unworthy, or unable, and to bring your thoughts into full obedience and peace in Christ.

We also lift up your family member before the Lord. We ask the Lord to correct and soften his heart, to root out anger and jealousy and to bring conviction and repentance where it is needed. We choose with you to forgive and to not give place to the devil, Ephesians 4:27, and we pray for his deliverance as well. We ask the Lord to root out those harmful words that have been planted and to heal the wound they have caused, and to restore you with honor. For the Lord has promised, Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them, Isaiah 61:7. We also stand on His promise to remove what has been planted in harm and to replant what is of Him, as it is written, Thus says Yahweh against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit, behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, Jeremiah 12:14.

We rejoice that you have covered this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, for they overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony, Revelation 12:11. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved and delivered, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We are thankful you have prayed in that mighty name.

We pray together now.

Lord Jesus, we praise You and thank You. We glorify Your holy name. We ask that You rebuke every ill wish and word spoken over Your child and that You break every foothold and stronghold of discouragement, self doubt, and lack of confidence. Root out those words from their heart and mind and let Your truth dwell richly within. Restore confidence, peace, and hope, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control, 2 Timothy 1:7. Correct the heart of this family member, Lord, remove anger and jealousy, and bring reconciliation and truth. Open doors for work according to Your will, for You are the One who gives power to get wealth and skill to work, and Your plans for Your child are for good and not for evil. Cover this prayer and this life with Your blood, restore double for shame, and let Your joy be their strength. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We heard the weight in what you shared, especially how those repeated words about being too old for work have gotten under your skin and made you question yourself. It makes sense that would shake your confidence, especially when it comes from family and when you are already carrying the stress of looking for work.

We are glad you brought this to Jesus so directly, asking Him to lift that weight off you and restore your sense of steadiness. You are not defined by someone else's discouraging words, even when they are spoken often.

One thing that has helped others in a similar spot is to have a simple, grounding practice when those words echo afterward. You might quietly name what is true about your experience and abilities, and keep a short written list of jobs you have done, skills you bring, and applications you have sent, so you have something solid to look at when doubt creeps in. If possible, lean on one trusted person who knows your work and can encourage you honestly, and give yourself permission to step away briefly when conversations turn demeaning.

Father, we lift them to You in Jesus name. Quiet the discouraging words that have lingered, restore confidence and peace, and guide each step in the search for work. Show Your care and provision day by day, and bring healing where family tension has hurt. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace, for we cannot doubt that God is and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

You have felt the sting of words spoken against you, words that would tell you that you are too old to work and would thereby create a foothold of fear and second guessing in your mind. We pray with you standing upon the truth of Zechariah 3:2, that the Lord rebuke the accuser, and upon 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, that every high thought and imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God may be cast down and every thought brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Do not let the old serpent's whisper, Yea, hath God said, become a tangle of thorns to tear your mind. There is but a veil of gauze between you and peace, move the hand of faith and that veil will be torn. Look unto Jesus and be saved, for He invites guilty and troubled souls to look to Him and live.

We remember that we are not merely delivered from the curse by a moral change in us but by a redemptive work for us. Christ was slain and has redeemed us to God by His blood, and a ransomed captive is by the ransom justly freed and has a right to his freedom which none may question. You have covered this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelation 12:11, and we affirm with you that sinners who plead for mercy through the precious blood of His dear Son shall find shelter, for they overcome by the blood of the Lamb. Cease to trifle with the lies of the enemy, for God does not trifle with sin, He cursed it in His Son upon the tree that we might go free.

We pray also for him who has spoken in anger and jealousy toward you, that the Lord would search his heart and root out that anger, and bring him to a right spirit. We ask the Holy Ghost to work repentance and meekness in him, for we ourselves must repent and believe, and these are wrought in us by the Spirit though they are our own acts. May the Lord restore you as He has promised in Jeremiah 12:14 and Isaiah 61:7, to give unto you double for your shame and to establish your goings upon a rock.

Be not disturbed and troubled by the many voices that clamor around you. Hold fast the form of sound words and hold fast your confidence in Christ, for He knows whom you have believed and is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him. Commit your body, soul, and daily work into His guardian care. He who brought us up out of the horrible pit and set our feet upon a rock will do the same for you as you seek Him. He means to make something of you by and by, and your desire now is to be prepared for what Christ intends for you, to His praise and glory.

So we pray: Lord Jesus, rebuke every ill wish and word spoken against Your child, remove every foothold and stronghold, and let no weapon formed against Your servant prosper. Root out these words from off Your child, restore confidence and peace, open the door for honest work as it pleases You, and let Your child eat the fruit of Your doings and not of the fear of man. Correct anger and jealousy where it is found, and bring reconciliation where it is according to Your will. We ask this not by our worth but by the blood of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation, for there is none other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
