Beloved of All
Your heartfelt prayer for your son is heard, and I join you in lifting him before the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving and praise.
God is faithful to be a shield and a defense for His people. Just as a wall once rebuilt gave protection after long vulnerability, the Lord Himself surrounds those who trust Him. Scripture promises that no weapon formed against His children will finally succeed, that He commands His angels to encamp around those who fear Him, and that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against him. You can rest in this, that God Himself fights for you and for your son. He sees every plan and every pressure directed against him, and He is able to scatter those plans and bring confusion to every scheme of the enemy, as He has done for His people from the beginning.
There is wisdom in how you are praying. The first step in spiritual conflict is to recognize that we wrestle not only against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Once that is recognized, you do not have to receive or accept what the enemy tries to bring. Through Jesus Christ you can refuse it in His name. And then you can rejoice, because God has given you the power of His Holy Spirit and the victory of the cross. At the cross Christ disarmed principalities and powers and triumphed over them, and it is by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony that we overcome. Covering your son with the blood of Jesus is not a formula, but a simple trust in that finished victory and in the protection that God provides like a blanket of covering over His own.
Attacks that come from outside are difficult, but attacks that touch family are felt even more deeply and can leave us most vulnerable. It is painful when conflict comes through a brother or another close relative, and when bad influences press in on a child. The Lord cares about the family and about restoring what is broken within it. He is able to root out what is harmful and to separate your son from influences that would lead him away from the Lord, and to bring godly influences in their place. Continue to pray not only for a hedge around your son, but also for the Lord to work in your brother's heart, that any work of darkness would be cancelled by the power of Christ and replaced by conviction, repentance, and peace.
I pray with you now. Lord Jesus, I thank You and glorify You. Place Your shield of protection over this son according to Your promise that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Send Your angels to encamp around him and keep him in all his ways. Lift up Your standard against every attack of the enemy. By Your blood, stand between this son and every harmful influence, and break the power of every principality seeking to work through family strife. Scatter every plan formed against him and root out every bad influence from his life, and draw him close to Yourself. Cover him and this prayer with Your precious blood, and let Your will be done in his life for Your glory. Teach his mother and father to rest in Your victory, to refuse the enemy's work, and to rejoice in the power of Your Spirit each day. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Keep standing on the Word, keep praying with faith, and keep fixing your eyes on Jesus rather than on the enemy. The Lord who began a good work is able to guard and to complete it.
