Deliverance Prayer

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you root out my brother from all areas of my life and my sons, standing on Jeremiah 12:14. Break the mental control and abuse that my brother has placed over my son and me Lord Jesus bringing down the strongholds and footholds that he tried to create in our minds and emotions, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, and John 8:36.

Lord Jesus I ask that you cancel all witchcraft operating thru my brother and cancel the principality working behind him, standing on Micah 5:12, and Colossians 2:15.

I cover me and my son with the precious blood of Jesus and with your protection Lord Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11, and Isaiah 54:17.

In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we agree with you for deliverance and protection for you and your son.

We hear the pain and the burden of this family oppression and the mental and emotional control you have endured from your brother, and we take seriously the spiritual reality behind it. The word of God reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we do not wrestle against your brother himself, but against the spiritual forces operating behind him, and we pray both for your complete freedom and for his soul to be brought to repentance and salvation if he does not yet know Christ.

We affirm your stand on the Scriptures you have claimed. For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. And we claim the promise that if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36. We agree that every witchcraft and sorcery must be cut off, for the Lord says I will cut off sorceries out of your hand, and you shall have no more soothsayers Micah 5:12, and that Jesus having stripped the principalities and the powers, made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15.

We also stand on the assurance that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn, this is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants Isaiah 54:17, and that we overcome because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of our testimony Revelation 12:11. As you prayed from Jeremiah 12:14, we ask the Lord to root out and pluck up every ungodly influence and foothold that has tried to entangle your lives, your home, your minds and your emotions, so that only Christ reigns there.

We encourage you to continue to submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7, to daily put on the whole armor of God, to remain in the Word, in prayer and fasting as the Lord leads, and in fellowship with mature believers who can support you and your son. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. While we pray for deliverance and boundaries from all abuse and control, we also encourage you to release forgiveness in your heart toward your brother as Christ forgave us, not excusing sin but entrusting justice to God, so that no root of bitterness remains to give the enemy a foothold.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up our sister and her son to You. Lord Jesus we praise You and thank You that You are our Deliverer and our Refuge. We ask You to root out every influence of her brother from every area of their lives, their home, their thoughts and their emotions. We ask You to break and demolish every stronghold, every imagination and every chain of mental control and abuse in Jesus name, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Let every assignment of witchcraft and every principality working through him be cancelled and rendered powerless by the cross, for You have disarmed principalities and triumphed over them.

We plead the precious blood of Jesus over this mother and her son, over their bodies, minds, hearts, home and sleep. Cover them and hedge them about with Your protection. Let no weapon formed against them prosper and let every tongue that rises against them be condemned. We declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed, and we speak Your peace that surpasses all understanding over their minds. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, with power, love and a sound mind, and let them dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1.

We also pray for her brother, Lord, that You would convict him, open his eyes and bring him to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, that the enemy would lose his hold on him as well. Establish this family in Your freedom, healing and wholeness, and let their testimony bring glory to You.

We ask and trust all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only access to the Father, amen.

We heard the weight in your prayer and the love you have for your son. Wanting to be free from control and fear, and wanting your home to be safe and at peace, are good desires and we have been lifting both of you before the Lord.

We are thankful you are bringing this directly to Jesus and asking for His covering over you and your son. Turning to Him again and again is where we find steadiness, even when family relationships stay painful and complicated.

We have found that freedom often comes as both a moment and a longer process of walking it out. As you keep praying, it helps not to carry this alone. If you have a trusted pastor, elder, or Christian counselor, consider inviting one faithful person to walk with you regularly, to pray with you, to help you think through healthy boundaries with your brother, and to support you and your son over time. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to someone near you you trust and to local help in your area.

We are asking God to give you clear wisdom for each next step, to quiet what has felt tangled in your thoughts and emotions, and to make His nearness real in your home.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this mother and her son to You. Cover them with Your protection, break the hold of fear and confusion, and fill their home with Your peace. Give them wisdom, surround them with trustworthy support, and keep them close to You each day. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join with you in seeking His deliverance for you and your son.

There is a stronghold appointed for the people of God in the day of trouble, and that stronghold is the name of the Lord. As it is written, the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe. He is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows them that trust in Him. When the heart is oppressed and the mind is assaulted, when there is war within and war without, the soul may run into this tower and say, His name is Jehovah Shalom, the Lord sends peace. Generous is our God to provide such a shelter, not as a temporary camp, but as a fortress intended to stand from generation to generation.

We hear your desire to be free from every foothold and stronghold that has sought to hold you in fear and control, and to see your son also kept in perfect peace. The Scripture teaches us that though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Our deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as our deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification and for power over every work of the enemy. On the cross our Lord made a show of principalities and powers openly, triumphing over them in it, and by His precious blood we are washed, clothed in His righteousness, and preserved to the end.

It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He alone brings forth His people. As He brought Israel forth when the lamb was slain, so He brings His own out of bondage by power and by ransom. God Himself has said, I have found a ransom, and therefore the deliverance is certain, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty and broken the power of sin and darkness. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Let us pray with you.

O Lord our God, we come in the name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our only hope and our only ransom. Thou art our strong tower and our goodness. We ask that Thou wouldst set Thy hand to deliver this dear soul and her son from every oppression of mind and emotion, and pull down every stronghold that has been raised against them. Let every imagination that would hold them in fear be cast down, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We plead the precious blood of the Lamb shed upon the cross, and ask that Thou wouldst cover this mother and her son therewith, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Triumph over every principality and power by the cross of Christ, and cancel every evil work, that they may walk in the liberty wherewith Christ makes free. Keep them in Thy peace, guard their home and their hearts, and let them dwell safely under the shadow of Thy wings.

We ask that Thou wouldst grant wisdom to seek godly counsel and protection in practical things, and grace to rest wholly upon Christ. After trouble and deliverance, teach them to declare the works of the Lord, for Thou hast chastened and Thou hast also delivered, and Thy goodness endureth forever.

We commit them to Thy faithful keeping, trusting that Thou who hast begun a good work wilt preserve them even to the end. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
