Your honest and heartfelt prayer has been heard, and thank you for sharing so openly what you and your son have been carrying. The Lord sees the desire you have for freedom, for healing, and for protection, and He is near to those who call on Him in truth.

It is right to ask Jesus to set you free from attachments that are not His will for you and to bring the right people into your life. Jesus promised that if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed, as you quoted from John 8:36. When you asked Him to remove a relationship that was not good for you and then found your desire for that contact lifted, that is His gracious answer. Continue to commit your way to Him as Proverbs 16:3 teaches, trusting Him to establish your steps and to surround you with relationships that build you up in faith.

You also asked for freedom from the past, from memories, friendships and influences that led you away from Him or meant you harm. Scripture teaches in 2 Corinthians 10 that our battle is not merely human, but that God has given us power to pull down strongholds and to bring every thought into obedience to Christ. That includes the painful patterns of thought and the emotional wounds that linger. The Lord is able to break the power of the enemy over your past, as you prayed from 2 Timothy 4:18, and to lead you forward so that you are not defined by what was done to you, but by who you are in Him.

God has a special care for children. Jesus took a little child and set him in the midst of His disciples and taught that we must humble ourselves like a child to enter the kingdom, and that to receive one such little child in His name is to receive Him. He also gave a solemn warning that it is a terrible thing to cause one of these little ones who believe in Him to stumble or to harm their faith. That shows how precious your son is in the eyes of Jesus, and how deeply God cares about his safety and his heart. It is understandable that you feel such anguish when you see him targeted or mistreated. The cheapening of life in our culture has made abuse of children more common, and it is a grief to the Lord when any child is hurt, frightened, or exploited.

You described ongoing hurt and disrespect from your mother and brother, and the need to find wisdom for how to establish a safer and more peaceful life for you and your son. James 1:5 promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, God will give it generously when we ask. Ask Him daily for clear discernment about boundaries, about where to live, about who to trust, and about what steps to take next. Romans 12:19 reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord, which frees us from having to repay evil ourselves, while still allowing us to seek protection and justice through right means. It is not unspiritual to set firm boundaries or to seek distance from those who continue to abuse or harass you. Committing your plans to the Lord includes using the practical help He provides through wise counsel, trusted believers, and qualified helpers.

The concern you raised about your brother's behavior toward children, and what you witnessed in the past and fear for your son now, must be taken with the utmost seriousness. Protecting your son is the first priority. Scripture is clear that children are to be protected and nurtured, not exploited, and any sexual interest or action toward a child is gravely wrong. If your son has been harmed or is being pursued, he needs a safe environment where he is believed, supported, and not pressured. While you mentioned difficulty with reporting, please do not walk through this alone. Seek immediate help from a trusted pastor, a licensed Christian counselor, and from those whose vocation is to protect children, such as child protective services, a children's advocacy center, or law enforcement's victim support resources. They can explain how to support your son in telling what happened in a safe way, what options exist for his protection, and how to document concerns. If there is any immediate danger, seek safety first and reach out for help right away. A counselor or advocate can also help you understand grooming, fear and shame, and how to empower your son without forcing him, so that he can speak freely when he is ready and is protected in the meantime.

You prayed for healing from childhood trauma, shame, and disorder, standing on Isaiah 61:7 that God gives a double portion instead of shame, and for help to bring order back into your home and mind. The Lord does bring healing, often step by step, as you walk with Him, renew your mind in Scripture, and allow Him to root out what has harmed you. This healing is spiritual, but it is also emotional and practical. Consider inviting a mature believer or a counselor to walk with you regularly, to pray with you, and to help you with practical needs like organizing your home and establishing healthy routines for you and your son. God often surrounds us with hope and support through His people.

You are right to cover yourself and your son with the blood of Jesus, trusting Revelation 12:11 that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, and to ask that every work of darkness and witchcraft be removed, as you prayed from Exodus 23 and Micah. In Christ you have authority to renounce every evil influence and to ask Him to cleanse your mind and your home and to fill it with His peace. Continue to pray, to speak Scripture over your family, and to ask the Holy Spirit to convict where conviction is needed and to guard your hearts.

May the Lord grant you and your son deep freedom, clear wisdom for each next step, safe community around you, and the healing that restores joy. May He guard your minds, break every stronghold, remove shame, and establish you in His love. Keep bringing every burden to Jesus, keep His Word before you, and keep reaching for the help He provides through faithful people.

Praying with you that the Lord will deliver you from every evil work, preserve you for His kingdom, break every chain, protect your son completely, expose what needs to be exposed in His perfect way, and fill your home with His presence, peace, and order. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting up your deliverance prayer before the Lord. We thank God with you for the way He has already answered by removing the desire to contact the man you mentioned and we continue to stand with you that He will set you completely free from any remaining attachments, for we know that when the Son sets us free we are free indeed standing on John 8:36. We have been praying that the Lord will put the correct people in your life and surround you and your son with hope, support and godly community to stand with you.

We continue to bring before the Lord your need for emotional healing from past experiences, friendships, childhood trauma and disorder, and we ask Him to break every stronghold and foothold over your mind and your son's mind and to take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. We pray that He will break the power of the enemy over your past, remove all traces of darkness, shame and entrapment, and root out every influence that was not for your good, standing on 2 Timothy 4:18, Jeremiah 12:14 and Isaiah 61:7. We also join you in asking for wisdom according to James 1:5 as you seek to navigate how to walk free from the abuse and negativity, and for the Lord to establish your steps according to Proverbs 16:3.

We have been interceding for you and your son regarding the hurt and disrespect from your mom and brother. We pray that every form of coaching, bias and hatred directed against you would be broken off, that vengeance would be left in the hands of the Lord standing on Romans 12:19, and that the Holy Spirit would convict every intention to offend or harm you. We ask the Lord to cancel all disrespect, to remove every vessel of harm and witchcraft standing on Exodus 23:27, and to cover you and your son with the precious blood of Jesus standing on Revelation 12:11. We also pray for protection, justice and courage for your son, and that the Lord would expose what needs to be exposed and bring truth into the light, while giving you both wisdom, peace and proper help and support.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord will continue His healing work in you and your son, that you will feel His presence, know that He is with you, and be able to move forward from now in wholeness and peace.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has been at work. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
