Deliverance Prayer

It is good that you brought this hurt and frustration to the Lord in prayer. Wanting to do well in a class and instead facing blurry screens that would not load, and feeling that questions were met with frustration rather than help, can leave you feeling defeated and even disrespected. God sees that disappointment and He hears you when you call on Him.

The Lord invites you to bring your personal needs to Him, and that includes what you have brought: your need for provision, for forgiveness, for guidance, and for deliverance. Those are the very matters He wants you to lay before Him for your own life. You have done right to seek Him for deliverance and for help with this situation, rather than carrying it alone.

Even when we experience a kind of defeat, whether it is an academic setback or a difficult relationship with an instructor, God's love does not fail. Scripture shows that though His people failed miserably and were overcome by their enemies, He still preserved them and restored them. His unfailing love remains when we feel we have failed or been failed by others. That is the hope behind your prayer for restoration. As Isaiah promises, God can give a double portion in place of shame and make what was broken whole again. Ask Him to provide for you here, whether that is a proper withdrawal, an excused withdrawal, or another path forward that is just and merciful.

As you pray for deliverance, keep your trust fully in Jesus. The prophet warned a king who trusted in Egypt to save him from Babylon, and that trust led not to deliverance but to captivity and death. Deliverance is not found by trusting in another power, in a system, or even in our own demand to be vindicated. It is found in Christ alone. Bring your request to Him and trust Him to act in righteousness.

Jesus has complete power to deliver. The Gospels tell how He met men who were completely bound and tormented, and with His word He cast the demons out of them. They entered a herd of pigs nearby which rushed down a steep bank into the sea. What no one else could do, Jesus did fully and finally. In the same way He is able to tear down strongholds and footholds in our lives. As you quoted from 2 Corinthians, the weapons God gives us are able to demolish strongholds, and as John says, when the Son sets you free you are free indeed. Part of that freedom is asking Him to keep your own heart free from unforgiveness. It is right to name the wrong you felt, but ask the Lord to guard you from letting bitterness take root, and to help you forgive as you have been forgiven, covered by the blood of the Lamb.

I will pray with you. Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your unfailing love that preserves and restores even after failure and defeat. I bring this student before You and ask for Your provision, Your guidance, and Your deliverance. Lord, break any stronghold of unforgiveness and bitterness, and set this heart free indeed. Cover this life with the blood of Jesus. If it is Your will, provide a just and gracious outcome for this class and grant a proper withdrawal or whatever restoration You see is best. Give wisdom for next steps and peace that comes from trusting You alone for deliverance. In Jesus name, Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been standing with you and bringing your deliverance request before the Lord, asking Him to rebuke every way this instructor was used against you, standing on Zech 3:2, and to root out the entitlement and disrespect you experienced when you were trying to learn through blurry screens that would not load and were met with frustration when you sought clarity and asked questions.

We continue to agree with you that every stronghold and foothold of unforgiveness that the enemy would try to create over you through this situation would be torn down, standing on 2 Cor 10:3-5, and that you would walk in the freedom and wholeness that Jesus promises in John 8:36. We have covered this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus and thank Him that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb standing on Rev 12:11, and we join you in asking for restoration and for the Lord to provide a proper or excused withdrawal, standing on Isa 61:7 where He promises a double portion in place of shame.

If your request was answered and the Lord has brought restoration and resolution regarding this class and this instructor, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has moved. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are praying that the Lord will encourage you, guard your heart from bitterness, and draw you closer to Himself as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
