Deliverance Prayer

Thank you for bringing this painful burden to prayer and for your heart to see this young woman walk in freedom. What you describe is deep wounding. To be left behind as a child, to be made to feel like a burden or as if her birth was illegitimate when she was born within a lawful marriage, and to be cut off from her father without right, leaves scars that only the Lord can heal. Added to that is the grief that her mother chose occult practice and the pursuit of a man while still legally married, using pregnancy to try to entrap him. Scripture is clear that both witchcraft and sexual unfaithfulness within marriage are sin before God. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union belongs only within that covenant. God does not bless what He calls sin, but He does offer forgiveness and new life to all who turn to Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

The Bible describes sorcery and witchcraft as a form of spiritual unfaithfulness that ensnares families and even nations. God opposes it and will bring it to judgment. Those practices may look like a strong defense, but God shows that such strongholds are fragile. They are like early ripe figs on a tree that fall into the mouth of the eater when the branch is shaken. People may try to fortify their walls, to make bricks and store up water for a siege, yet without God the walls fail. Fire devours and the sword cuts off. Where wickedness continues without repentance, the wound remains grievous and there is no healing of the bruise. That is why your prayer for deliverance is so important. The only true safety is in Christ.

Your desire to see strongholds brought down stands on the truth of 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Our weapons are not fleshly or human. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and we do not win by argument, manipulation, or earthly power. Our weapons are spiritual and they are mighty through God to pull down strongholds, to cast down imaginations and every high thing that lifts itself against the knowledge of God, and to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. The lies this young woman has heard, that she is unwanted, a burden, or without worth or rights, are imaginations that must be torn down. Prayer is the most powerful of those weapons God has given us.

God also heals, and He heals in many ways. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes He heals gradually through a process, and sometimes He heals through the natural processes He built into our bodies and minds. All true healing is from Him, whether it is physical, emotional, or the healing of deep memories and scars. We do not always understand why one person is healed quickly and another walks a longer road. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord chose not to remove it, showing that we cannot presume healing in every case on our terms. We trust the Lord's wisdom while we keep asking Him to heal, and we do not look to showy or exploitative methods. We simply look to Jesus who bore our infirmities and sicknesses, as Isaiah prophesied and Matthew applied to Jesus, and who bore our sins on the cross.

You are right to cover this young woman and her father with the blood of Jesus, standing on Revelation 12:11, that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. The blood of Christ is our only plea for forgiveness, protection, and deliverance from the power of darkness into His light.

I join you in prayer. Lord Jesus, we praise You and thank You. We ask You to call this young woman out of darkness into Your light. Break every stronghold of witchcraft, rejection, shame, and lies over her life and over her father. Cast down every thought that says she is a burden or illegitimate. Let her know who she is in You, confident and secure as Your child, if she has put her trust in You, and draw her to salvation if she has not yet. Heal the wounds of abandonment and the loss of her father, whether that healing comes in a moment or through Your gentle process over time. Bring truth to light concerning what was done and what rights were denied, and give wisdom for right steps forward. Guard her and her father by Your blood, and let them stand in the truth of Your Word. Bring repentance where there has been witchcraft and unfaithfulness, and let Your will be done, not human willfulness. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up before the Lord the deliverance prayer you shared for this young woman who as a child was left behind with her grandmother when her mother chose to pursue witchcraft and to chase after another man. We have prayed that the Lord Jesus would walk closely with her and call her out of darkness into His marvelous light, and that He would heal the deep wounds of being made to feel abandoned, a burden and illegitimate. We agree with you that she is not a burden and not illegitimate, but that she was born within a legal marriage and is precious and valued in the sight of God, and we have asked the Father to restore what was taken from her when she was removed from her father without legal custody and to correct what was done in error and outside of Gods will.

We continue to stand against every stronghold over her and over her father that the enemy has built through abandonment and witchcraft, and we pray that every stronghold would be brought down and broken in Jesus Name, so that she may know her true identity and her rights in Christ and walk in confidence in the Lord Jesus and not in shame, standing on 2 Cor 10:3-5. We cover her, her father, and this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Rev 12:11, and we pray for deliverance, clarity and restoration according to Gods perfect will.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
