Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and I join you in bringing these burdens before the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our deliverer and our salvation.
We stand together on the truth that with freedom Christ set us free, and we are called to stand fast in that freedom and not return again to any dominion of darkness. It was not by our own power that we were redeemed, but by Another who paid the ransom for us with His own blood. Therefore we do not look to any other power or any other name for salvation, for there is no other name by which we must be saved.
I pray with you that every stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of God would be torn down, as it is written that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We ask the Lord to cut off all sorcery and witchcraft, for the Scripture warns that hatred, strife, heresies and witchcraft do not come from our nature but from a depraved moral choice, and those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. May the Lord in His mercy bring conviction and repentance where witchcraft and manipulation have been used to force human will over the will of God, and may He cancel every work of darkness according to His promise to cut off sorceries from among His people.
We pray for this mother and for her daughter who is now thirty four. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His design for marriage, which is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with purity belonging within it, nor do we ask Him to affirm any union formed through deceit or compulsion. Instead we ask for true repentance, for healing from abandonment and rejection, for the knowledge of the true Father who never abandons His children, and for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We pray that this young woman, who has lived so long without knowing her earthly father and who now walks in darkness, would be brought into light, not merely to be freed from sin and oppression, but to be made holy by the presence of the Holy Spirit and to be clothed in good works, beautiful in soul before the royal table of the King.
We also pray for you and your household. What you have witnessed has been heavy, and it is right to seek the freedom that Christ gives. The Lord does not desire that you live in fear that some hidden influence will transfer to you from others, as if you must be anxiously scrupulous about every contact. True liberty in Christ frees us from bondage and establishes us in security, yet it also calls us to more than simply being freed. It calls us to a careful hearing of the word, to continual recollection of it, to fortitude, and to contempt for worldly things, cultivating every part of virtue. In that liberty, we agree with you in prayer, binding on earth what is bound in heaven and loosing what is loosed in heaven, asking that the blood of Jesus, by which we overcome, would be a covering over you and your home and stop any further oppression.
May the Lord who makes us free indeed set you and each member of your household free in a deep and lasting way. May He lead you to wise pastoral counsel and to proper professional help where it is needed to sort through emotional and spiritual wounds, and may He give you wisdom to walk in healthy boundaries while still loving those who are lost.
Father, we ask that you bring all involved to repentance and faith, that you heal what has been broken by sinful choices, that you remove every chain of darkness, and that you make each heart holy and whole through Jesus Christ our Lord. In His name we pray. Amen.
