Beloved of All
Your heartfelt prayer is heard and I join with you in bringing it before the Lord. I understand the weight you feel and the desire to be free from any influence that would oppress you or draw you away from the peace of Christ.
The Bible shows us that affliction is real, but it also gives us a larger view. What feels heavy and endless in the moment is seen by God as light and brief compared to the eternal glory He has prepared for those who belong to Him. He does not punish His children, He corrects and refines them as a father. At times He allows the furnace of affliction to purify us and to bring us back when we have wandered, so that we will keep His word and find life in it. That is why His word is our comfort in affliction. It makes us alive and gives hope when the enemy tries to whisper that God has forsaken us or is angry with us. When we cry out to the Lord, even from darkness and from chains of affliction, He hears and He breaks the bars that hold us.
Scripture also speaks plainly about the occult and witchcraft. It is not empty imagination but a real dabbling in the spiritual realm that God condemns, a practice that has long sought to ensnare nations and families. Yet the Lord declares judgment on it. The strongholds that seem so fortified are in truth fragile. They are like early ripe figs that fall into the eater's mouth with only a light shake. No matter how much effort is put into fortifying them, they cannot stand before God. He has promised that the affliction brought by the enemy will not rise to completion a second time, He will bring it to an end.
Your desire for freedom rests on the right foundation. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, and the weapons God has given us are not fleshly. They are mighty through Him to pull down strongholds, to cast down every thought and imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and to bring every thought into obedience to Christ. Prayer is among the most powerful of those weapons, along with the truth of His word and the armor He provides. On the cross Christ disarmed the spiritual powers and made a public triumph over them. The Son has set us free, and those He frees are free indeed. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, and what is bound on earth according to His will He confirms in heaven.
So I pray with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I ask that every work of darkness, every projection, every claim of transfer or allocation spoken against this dear one be cancelled and brought to nothing. Let every foothold and stronghold raised up against the knowledge of God be pulled down. Let every high thing be cast down and let the mind and heart be guarded and brought into captivity to Christ. I ask that You cover this life with the precious blood of Jesus shed on the cross, that You break every chain and bar of iron, and that You set this one firmly in the freedom the Son gives. Fill this heart with Your word which gives life, with Your Holy Spirit who brings joy even in much affliction, and with Your peace that guards against fear. Teach this one to keep eyes not on the present trouble but on the eternal weight of glory, and to walk daily in Your truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
Continue to stay in the Scriptures, to pray, and to keep your thoughts captive to Christ. He who is in you is greater than any power that would come against you, and He is faithful to keep you and to refine you for His glory.
