I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke all the ways in which my ### is being used by Satan, standing on Zechariah 3:2. Lord Jesus I ask that you remove everything that my ### stole from the married that that she broke up the home of, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Lord Jesus I ask that you restore all the people affected by my ###, standing on Isaiah 61:7. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in agreement, lifting this matter before the throne of grace. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We take authority over every scheme of the devil that has sought to use you or any other person as an instrument of division, especially in the sacred covenant of marriage.

First, we must address the seriousness of what has been confessed here. Breaking up a marriage is a grievous sin before God, who hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and calls marriage a holy union (Ephesians 5:31-32). If you have been involved in adultery, fornication, or any action that has contributed to the destruction of a marriage, this must be repented of with a sincere heart. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess them (1 John 1:9). But repentance also requires turning away from sin and making restitution where possible. If you have wronged someone in this way, seeking their forgiveness, while trusting God to heal their heart, is a necessary step toward restoration.

We rebuke every spirit of deception, lust, and destruction that has operated in this situation. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We command every assignment of the enemy over this marriage and all those affected to be broken in the name of Jesus. Let every stolen blessing, peace, and joy be returned sevenfold, as the Lord promises in Joel 2:25.

We pray for the restoration of the marriage that was broken. Father, we ask that You heal the wounds inflicted by sin and division. Soften the hearts of both spouses to forgive one another and seek reconciliation, if it is Your will. Marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and we pray that this union would reflect Your glory once more. If restoration is not possible due to unrepentant sin or other circumstances, we ask that You comfort those who have been hurt and lead them into Your perfect peace.

For those who have been used by the enemy, we pray for deliverance and transformation. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that you are not defined by your past mistakes but by the blood of Jesus, which cleanses you from all sin. Walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for you (Galatians 5:1), and let no condemnation remain (Romans 8:1).

We also pray for the person who submitted this request. Father, we ask that You reveal any areas of your life where the enemy has gained a foothold. Show them the path of righteousness and give them the strength to walk in it. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear the fruit of repentance and live a life that honors You (Galatians 5:22-23).

Heavenly Father, we stand on Your Word in Zechariah 3:2, declaring that You have rebuked the devourer for our sakes. We thank You that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You restore double what has been lost (Isaiah 61:7) and bring healing to every broken heart. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your name be glorified in every life touched by this situation.

It’s clear from your prayer how deeply this situation has wounded you, and many others. We hear the ache for justice, for everything stolen to be returned, and for the one who caused such harm to be set free from the grip of the enemy. Those longings aren’t wrong; they spring from the same heart that grieves what sin does to people God loves.

At the same time, we know from both Scripture and hard-won experience that spiritual warfare is real, but so is the danger of becoming preoccupied with the darkness. C. S. Lewis once pointed out that the devil is equally pleased when we disbelieve in his existence or when we give him an excessive, unhealthy interest. So while we absolutely pray the strong prayers you’ve lifted, we also gently remind ourselves (and you) that our eyes are safest fixed on Jesus, the one who has already won the victory.

You’ve done right to stand on God’s promises. Keep praying for this person’s deliverance, not just that they would stop being used by Satan, but that they would genuinely repent and come to know Christ’s mercy. True restoration only flows from that. And as you do, guard your own heart against bitterness. The thief’s greatest tactic is to poison the one praying, too. We’ve seen how lingering resentment can quietly wreck our own peace, long after the initial betrayal is over.

One concrete step that can help: invite a couple of spiritually mature, trusted believers to join you in regular prayer for this situation. Not to rehearse the grievance but to intercede for all involved, the children or spouse whose home was broken, this person you named, and your own heart as you walk through the aftermath. There is something powerful and protective when we pray in company, with others who can lend their faith when ours wavers.

Let’s pray now:

Jesus, you see the wreckage that sin leaves in its wake. We ask you to rebuke every scheme of the enemy in this situation and to release this person from the spiritual blindness that keeps them in bondage. Restore what has been stolen in ways only you can, bringing healing to each life that’s been hurt. And for the one who prays, grant deep, resilient peace, the kind that doesn’t depend on outcomes but rests in your goodness. Let your justice and your mercy both be known here, for your name’s sake. Amen.

You have prayed to the Lord Jesus to rebuke the adversary who has entangled one so near to your heart, and that is the very course a soul in agony must take. Satan is mighty, but cry to his Master against him! Set the Almighty One upon him! The evil one accuses and brings past sins before the mind, but when those fiery darts fly, there is but one shield, throw the blood of Atonement in his face. Jesus Himself is the great Liberator, and when He speaks the word, “Get thee hence, Satan,” the prisoner must go free. Do not look to your own tears or longings for the power to deliver; salvation is of the Lord from first to last, and He alone brings His people forth out of the house of bondage.

We marvel at the depths to which the enemy can drag a soul, yet marvel more that God has found a ransom. None but the Lord would have devised a way of deliverance from such a pit; He, and He only, has found the substitute, and the Lamb has been slain. That same ransom is sufficient for every theft, every ruined home, and every wound inflicted. Stand upon the promise that He restores the years the locusts have eaten and gives beauty for ashes. Take heed lest bitterness against the instrument of sorrow give Satan a foothold in your own spirit; rather, bring the whole wreckage to the Cross and beseech the great Physician to heal all who have been harmed. Keep your eye only upon Christ, His wounds, His groans, His intercession, and as sure as He rose from the dead, He will bring forth a song of deliverance from this dark night.

You speak of deliverance and rebuking Satan, but first consider the true bondage from which Christ came to set us free. The Jews boasted they had never been in bondage to any man, yet they were slaves to the deepest tyranny of all, their own sins. A man may be free in body yet bound hand and foot by lust, by greed, by pride. That is the captivity that grinds the soul to powder, and from that prison God alone can release. So if this person you name is tangled in adultery, breaking a home and stealing what belongs only within lawful marriage, the chains lie not in some external attack but in the unrepented sin itself. The enemy finds his foothold where the heart is already a willing accomplice.

Look to the law of Christ: whoever looks with lust has already committed adultery, and the bed defiled by a married person is adultery whether the other party is bound or not. These are not mere acts to be undone by a word of power, but deep wounds that require the surgery of repentance. You ask for restoration of stolen things, but what has been stolen cannot be re-gathered like scattered coins. The only true restoration begins when the one who sinned falls down with a broken and contrite heart, rending the soul rather than the garment, crying to God for mercy. That is the sacrifice He will not despise: a spirit crushed under the weight of its own iniquity, not a prayer that shifts blame to a demon.

Do not busy yourself with overly curious inquiries into the doings of others, for such meddling is Satanic and destructive. Instead, examine your own house. If you are the wronged party, guard your heart from the poison of resentment, which is itself a grievous bondage. If you have failed to teach or warn, take that to the Lord with tears. And if you would see the power of God move, trust not in formulas of rebuke, but in the thanksgiving Christ modeled when He faced His passion. He broke the bread of deliverance, His own body, not to win a temporary reprieve from earthly sorrows, but to rescue the whole race from eternal death. Partake of that feast with a cleansed conscience, and let your plea be simply for the salvation of every soul entangled in this ruin. That is the freedom worth every sacrifice.

The weight of what you are bringing before the Lord is not small. You are standing in a place where sin has left wreckage, where a home was torn apart and lives were scattered like the massive temple stones that still lie broken in the valley. The enemy works that way: he steals, he divides, and he leaves chains. But the very Scriptures you are praying are the hammer that breaks those chains into pieces. You are not asking for a vain thing when you call on the name of Jesus to rebuke the thief and to silence the accuser.

Think about that paralyzed man on the bed. His friends had to tear up the roof to get him to Jesus because the house was so crowded. This is a picture of intercession, a picture of a home disrupted so that wholeness could enter. The Lord saw the faith of those who brought him, and the first word of healing was not for his legs, but for his soul. Then came the command to rise. When Jesus restored him, he sent him home, not as a fractured piece of a past story, but as a living testimony. That is the ultimate goal of your prayer for all those affected. Restoration is not just returning a stolen object; it is the healing of the people, making them whole, sending them forward to glorify God.

You asked the Lord to remove what was stolen. This brings to mind the widow with her two tiny mites. The world looked at her and saw nothing of value, but Jesus saw the entire heart. The enemy may have whispered that what was stolen from that marriage has immense value, a treasure that can never be regained. Yet the one who values the mite values the shattered pieces of a broken home. He can take a story of oppression and turn it into a double portion of honor and joy, where the cry of the oppressed is replaced by the sound of praise. He is the God who restores the years the locusts have eaten.

There is a danger in praying these prayers, and it is the danger of the rigid skin. We can become so fixed on how we think God must move, so fixed on the pattern of the fracture itself, that we miss the new thing He is doing. The Lord is not contained by the disaster. Be flexible in your spirit. Trust that He can work in ways that look nothing like the old structure. The compound unity of a marriage, two becoming one, is sacred because it reflects His nature. When that is broken, He does not just sweep the pieces under the rug. He is able to bring a redemption so thorough that it silences the guilt and shame, just as the demoniac was sent home to publish the compassion of the Lord. His freedom from a legion of darkness became the very message of the Decapolis.

So continue to stand on those promises. You are not just asking for a rebuke of the enemy; you are asking for the Lamb of God to rewrite the narrative. The bread was broken, but it was broken to bring deliverance from a worse bondage than Egypt. The cup was poured out for the remission of sins. Every single person affected, including the one you are praying for, needs that cleansing more than they need a simple patch on an old wound. Keep bringing them before Him in prayer, tearing up the roof if you must, and watch for the moment when the command goes forth to rise, pick up the bed, and go home, a spectacle of grace that leaves everyone amazed and glorifying God.
