Deliverance Prayer

It is agonizing when the one who should be a source of nurture becomes a fountain of poison. The cry you lift is real, and the spiritual warfare you sense is not imaginary. But take heart in the words of our Lord when His own blood family came seeking Him: “Who is my mother?” He did not dismiss her, but He redefined the deepest bonds. There is a family of God, formed by doing the will of the Father, whose ties run stronger than any lineage. When your own mother becomes a counselor to do wickedly, as Athaliah was to Ahaziah, you must cling to Jesus as your first and exceeding love.

Your son is ensnared, and his disrespect grieves you. Yet remember that a mother’s influence, whether godly or ungodly, can steer a child. The enemy works through manipulation, projecting, and the sort of controlling sorcery you’ve named. But the blood of Jesus speaks a better word. Stand on every promise you’ve declared, Zechariah 3:2 is a rebuke indeed. Colossians 2:15 shows the triumph over principalities. But let your love for Christ exceed even your love for your son, and do not be drawn into the same kind of manipulation through your prayers. You are not wrestling against flesh and blood. Cancel the witchcraft, release him to God’s conviction, and let the fear of the Lord fall upon him, that is the beginning of wisdom.

Bitterness and self-vindication can poison your own soul. Leave vengeance to the Lord. Romans 12:19 is a holy release. Instead, look to the restoring work of the Redeemer. What the enemy has ripped off, the years, the relationship, the peace, God can put back together, as He did for damaged lives throughout Scripture. Your emotions have been ravaged, but Isaiah 61:7 promises a double portion for your shame.

Go directly to the Son. You need no intermediary. He who is not ashamed to call us brothers will hear you. Pray for your mom, even if through clenched teeth at first. Pray for your son with a heart that says, “Not my will, but Yours.” And find your family in those who walk with Jesus. They become your mother, your brother, your sister. In that fellowship, your own soul will be strengthened until the day restoration comes.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over these past days. It has been our honor to lift your heartfelt request before the Lord, interceding for deliverance, restoration, and protection over your family. We have prayed in agreement with you, asking Jesus to rebuke every interference, cancel every form of witchcraft, and break every ungodly influence that has sought to disrupt the relationship between you and your son.

We continue to stand on the promises of God’s Word, trusting that He hears the cries of His children and moves mightily on their behalf. If the Lord has already answered this prayer—if you’ve seen His hand at work in breaking these strongholds, restoring respect, and drawing your son’s heart back to you—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony would encourage us all and glorify our Father in heaven.

If, however, the battle still rages and you have not yet seen the full manifestation of God’s deliverance, we invite you to post this request again. Let us remain steadfast with you in prayer, pressing in until every chain is broken and every principality is defeated. We will not grow weary in standing with you, for we know that the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to seek Him. May His peace guard your heart, His wisdom guide your steps, and His power bring complete victory in every area of your life. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
