Such a heavy weight to carry. When the conflict comes from within your own household, there is a particular kind of exhaustion that settles deep in the bones. The person who should be your closest ally has instead become the source of oppression, and the prayer you have poured out comes from a place of real and sustained pain.

The story of Joseph comes to mind. He knew what it was to have his own brothers turn against him with hatred so thick they could not even speak a kind word to him. They sold him into slavery and then constructed a lie that left their father grieving for years. From a human standpoint, those brothers got away with their scheme for over two decades. No lightning struck. No immediate consequences. Meanwhile, a part of Joseph must have wrestled with the terrible injustice of it all. But something years later came out of his mouth that changes everything: it was not you who sent me here, but God. He could finally see that God’s hidden hand had been at work the entire time, preserving life even through the cruelty.

That does not excuse what his brothers did, and it does not excuse what you are enduring. Sin is still sin, and the harm it causes is real. The voice of your tears and the oppression you are experiencing has not gone unnoticed in heaven any more than Abel’s blood was silent when it cried from the ground. God sees the schemes and the alliance you describe. He is not indifferent. Yet the glimpse Joseph gives us is profound: God is able to weave even the worst intentions into a larger purpose for your preservation and good, even when you cannot yet trace His hand.

It is understandable to pray against the spiritual forces at work. There is a battle that goes beyond flesh and blood. But guard your own heart against being consumed by what they are doing. Vengeance belongs to the Lord. Let Him handle the repaying. Your call is to stand free, and the Son has promised that if He makes you free, you are free indeed. That freedom may not look like a sudden change in your brother’s attitude, but it can look like a steady, unshakable peace within you that no amount of his disrespect can touch.

Remember also that you have been brought into a family whose ties run deeper than blood. When your natural family becomes a source of wounding rather than refuge, do not underestimate the comfort and shelter God provides through His people. The older women as mothers, the younger as brothers and sisters with all purity. There is a household of faith that can surround you when your own household fails you. You do not have to walk this corridor of oppression alone.

That does not mean you ignore wisdom. Joseph spent years away from his brothers before God orchestrated a reunion on entirely different terms. There are seasons where separation, even a few miles down the road, is the necessary path until God reshapes the landscape. You are not required to remain in the crosshairs of ongoing abuse. It is not a denial of the faith to establish boundaries; it is a faithful stewardship of your own soul.

Take heart that the end of the story has not yet been written. Your life is not merely the sum of his hindrances. God has a posterity of blessing for you that no man’s schemes can finally thwart. He prepares provision for His children right through the drought. The One who has begun a good work in you will carry it to completion, and His purposes will stand. May you find the grace to rest in that, even while you wait for the full deliverance.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt plea for deliverance and protection, and we are grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you in prayer. It has been our earnest prayer that the Lord Jesus would intervene in the strained relationship with your brother, bringing humility, healing, and divine protection over your life.

We have prayed fervently that the oppressive spirits at work through your brother would be broken, that the negative words spoken over you would be canceled by the power of Christ, and that every hindrance to your success would be removed. We have asked the Lord to send His angels to stand guard over you, as Psalm 91 promises, and to root out every form of harm or spiritual attack aimed at you. We have also prayed that the cycles of abuse and oppression would be shattered, and that the blood of Jesus would form an impenetrable barrier against any further harm.

If the Lord has already moved in response to these prayers—if you have experienced His peace, protection, or a shift in the situation—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony would encourage us all and glorify God’s faithfulness.

If, however, the burden still weighs heavily on your heart, or if you feel the need for continued prayer, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you, lifting you up before the throne of grace, and believing with you for God’s perfect justice and deliverance.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, surround you with His presence, and fill you with His peace as you walk in the victory that is already yours through Jesus Christ. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
