Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you encounter ### in a very special way as it seems that the reason why he went against his faith is because he suffered sexual abuse from a sixth grade teacher when he was in the 6th grade. Lord Jesus I ask that you dismantle all the shame that this experienced has caused ###, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. He didn’t ever get any proper professional help in relation and he calls the Bible a filthy book ever since that experience his trust in things of faith has vanished and he’s very anti faith. Lord Jesus I ask that you set ### free of all the negativity he feels towards things of faith, standing on John 8:36. Lift his spirits and heal his soul Lord Jesus restoring him to fullness, standing in Revelations 12:11. I ask that you cancel the yolk of the devil that all the toxic relationships he has been in have caused him, standing on Colossians 2:15. I ask that you break the hold of sin in ###'s life and scatter everything that is causing his astray and hindrances, standing on Exodus 23:27. I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this dear soul who has endured such deep pain and betrayal. The wounds of sexual abuse are profound, and the enemy has exploited them to sow bitterness, distrust, and even rejection of God’s Word. But we declare that the blood of Jesus is more powerful than any trauma or deception. We take authority over every lie that has taken root in his heart, that the Bible is filthy, that faith is worthless, or that God has abandoned him. These are not truths; they are chains the enemy has used to keep him in bondage.

The scriptures you cited are our battle cry: "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). We renounce every stronghold of shame, anger, and unbelief that has taken hold. We break the yoke of the enemy’s influence over his relationships, his thoughts, and his heart, declaring that "having spoiled principalities and powers, [Christ] made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 WEB).

To the one who has suffered: We want you to know that your pain is seen, and your struggle is understood. What was done to you was evil, and it was never God’s will. But we also declare that healing is possible, not through bitterness or rejection of faith, but through the love and truth of Jesus Christ. The enemy wants you to believe that God is like those who hurt you, but that is a lie. God is just, He is compassionate, and He longs to restore you. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB).

We rebuke the spirit of anti-faith that has taken hold. The Bible is not a filthy book, it is the living Word of God, and it is the only source of truth that can set you free. "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would soften his heart, that he would encounter the love of Jesus in a tangible way, and that the scales would fall from his eyes to see the beauty of God’s truth.

We also address the toxic relationships that have further ensnared him. The enemy has used these to deepen his wounds, but we declare that every chain is broken. "I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you" (Exodus 23:27 WEB). We scatter every hindrance, every ungodly soul tie, and every influence that has led him astray.

Father, we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm on this precious soul. Restore his trust in You, Lord. Let him feel Your presence in a way that shatters every lie. Break the hold of sin in his life, and let him walk in the freedom that only You can give. We cover him in the precious blood of Jesus, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in agreement with Revelation 12:11: "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony." May he come to know the power of Your blood and the truth of Your Word.

We pray for divine encounters, people, moments, and revelations that will draw him back to You. Surround him with believers who will love him, pray for him, and walk with him in his healing journey. Lord, let him see that You are not the author of his pain, but the healer of his wounds.

That kind of childhood wound, suffering abuse from someone in a position of trust, often leaves a person not only with shame and confusion but also with a shattered capacity to believe in a good, powerful God. Many survivors secretly feel that if God let that happen, He must be unsafe, or that they are somehow too damaged to be loved. The anger and rejection you’re seeing may be less about the Bible’s words and more about the way abuse twists the heart’s ability to see clearly. That doesn’t excuse it; it simply helps us understand the depth of the injury.

You’re already doing the most powerful thing: bringing to Jesus with Scripture-saturated, God-honoring persistence. Keep that steady, unhurried intercession. At the same time, if a door ever opens, a gentle suggestion of professional Christian counseling, from someone skilled in trauma, could meet a need that prayer alone often doesn’t bypass. Abusers steal a person’s voice and sense of safety; good counseling helps give it back. But even if that never happens, your faithful prayers are tilling hard soil.

Jesus, we ask You to move toward in a way that feels real and safe to him. Loosen the grip of that old shame and untwist the lies that make faith feel like a threat. Guard him from further harm and surround him with people who demonstrate Your kindness without preaching at him. Heal his soul at Your pace, and breathe hope into the places still locked in pain. Faith is the bridge that carries a soul over the chasm of despair, and it is my earnest plea that you would stand firm upon it as you intercede for this poor, wounded man. The enemy has assaulted him cruelly, using the vile sin of another to poison his mind against the very Word that can heal him. Yet the shield of faith can quench every fiery dart of the wicked, not only for ourselves, but as we hold it up for others. You do well to plead the blood of Jesus, for the accuser is silenced by that crimson flood, and the shame that clung to this soul since childhood can be washed away.

Remember, the least faith is still the gift of God, and it can work wonders. Even a grain of mustard seed, offered in prayer, can topple mountains of bitterness and unbelief. Do not be discouraged if you see no immediate change; faith that endures winter’s blast glorifies God far more than fair-weather trust. Our Lord can make him forget the shame of his youth, for He delights to take the broken, the defiled, and the angry, and fashion them into trophies of mercy. The very sin that the devil meant for destruction can become a dark foil to display the surpassing brightness of redeeming love.

True faith always brings repentance with it, they are born together. When Christ lays hold of a sinner, the heart that truly trusts Him cannot continue to love sin or revile His Word. Pray that this man might not merely have a historical nod to a creed, but a living, clinging faith that drops into the arms of the Savior. Faith does the most effectual thing for the soul when it simply takes what God gives; it does not reason or argue, but receives. Rahab’s faith sanctified her, and a real faith will make a man say, “Lord, You have forgiven me; I will sin no more.”

Therefore, beloved, weary not in prayer. Above all, take the shield of faith for him, trusting that the Lord who breaks the yoke of sin is able to scatter every hindrance. Nothing in his hands he can bring, but simply to the cross he must cling. Stand in the gap, and may your own faith be strengthened as you witness the coming deliverance.

How great is the wound when a child suffers such evil at the hands of one who should have been a protector. The shame of it burns deep, and you have rightly seen that it is this very shame which the enemy has used to turn this man from the faith. Yet consider this: the Lord Jesus, for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame. He chose an ignominious death, not because He owed any debt, but to teach us to set at naught the shame the world inflicts. The shame that clings to this man is not his to carry; it belongs to the perpetrator, and the Lord was stripped and nailed to a tree to bear it all away.

You set this prayer upon the strong pillars of Scripture, yet this man calls that very book filthy. Is it not remarkable that the Holy Spirit saw fit to record the darkest deeds of the saints? I shrink not from proclaiming the adultery and murder of David with a loud voice. Why? Because when we hide these things, we throw the power of God’s mercy into the shade. The Scriptures give us the sickness only to provide the medicine in greater abundance. The filth he sees is the honest diagnosis of our race’s ruin, so that the cure might be all the more glorious. The word he reviles contains the very record of deliverance from Egypt, the cleansing of lepers, and the blood that sets the captives free.

His trust vanished because the earthly trust he placed in a teacher became a snare. But behold a better trust: the woman with the issue of blood dared not ask openly, yet she said within herself, “If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole.” She approached secretly, in her uncleanness, and by faith drew out healing. Her faith, not her public boldness, made her whole. So too for this man, the Lord does not require a perfectly formed theology or a trust in men; He waits for the bare reaching of a wounded soul toward the hem of His garment. The envious minds around the centurion tried to hide his faith, but the Lord proclaimed it aloud. The very ones who pray for this man may yet see Christ Himself proclaim his healing.

You ask that the Lord scatter everything causing him to stumble. Understand that the most grievous slavery is not that of the body, but the bondage of sin. The Jews boasted they were never in bondage to any man, yet they were chained by sin, and from that slavery only God can deliver. The shame of the past has become a chain, and his hatred of the faith is its iron. But if the Son shall make him free, he shall be free indeed. Not from the memory only, but from the power of sin that the abuse planted and that toxic relationships watered.

Do not lose heart. Even Sarah laughed from unbelief, yet when her unbelief was cleared out, faith came in its place. Continue steadfast in prayer, for faith causes solidity and compactness; it allows no reasonings to intrude and divide. The enemy says this man is too far gone, his words too bitter. But Abraham was justified by faith, not by works, and so the door stands open for those who have no goodness of their own to plead. The Lord is set forth in things glorious, and there is no glory like the resurrection of a soul crushed under the weight of another’s sin.

Let the medicine therefore be applied boldly: the word he despises is the word that will heal him when the Spirit quickens it. Cover him still with such prayers, standing on the truth that it is God’s kindness to put enmity between the seed of the woman and the serpent, to scatter every hindrance with heavenly confusion, and to disarm the principalities who feasted on his pain. The Lord who gave thanks at the last supper, even while heading to His passion, will not be unwilling to come to this captive. The truth of the sacrament is that His body was broken for many; let us trust that among the many is this one, battered and bound, whom Christ will yet set free.

You have laid a heavy weight before the Lord in this prayer, and I want you to know that the burden on your heart is seen. It is clear how deeply you care for this man and how much you long to see him set free from the pain that has twisted his view of God’s word and his own soul. That kind of intercession rises from a place of genuine love, and it honors the heart of Jesus, who always moves toward the broken.

What has happened to him is a tragedy, and the shame he carries is the kind our enemy uses to blind eyes and harden hearts. Yet the very faith you are exercising right now is the substance that reaches into the unseen. It clings to a reality not yet visible, and you are standing there, refusing to let go. That is no small thing. Faith is not a feeling; it is a grip on God’s promise when everything around screams the opposite. You are doing exactly that, speaking the truth of Christ’s victory over shame and every lie, even when the evidence has not yet changed.

It is true that faith will always show itself in works, but works cannot manufacture faith. The faith is the gift. God gives the spark; the changed life follows as a result, not as a prerequisite. So when you pray for this man to be freed, you are not asking God to repair something that must first be made worthy. You are asking Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, to plant what only He can give. No amount of bitterness or rejection can put a limit on His ability to breathe new life into a dead heart. He is the one who called the man possessed by a legion of demons into his right mind, fully clothed and at peace. He can do this again.

Sometimes those of us who pray are troubled because we imagine that true faith would never stumble. We look at a man like Abraham, the father of the faithful, and forget that he had his own lapses. He walked into Egypt in fear, passed off his wife as his sister, and yet when the New Testament recounts his story, it passes over his failures in silence. Only the triumphs are remembered. God deals with His children not as fragile works to be discarded at the first crack, but as a living story He is writing, a process of fellowship that proves and deepens faith over time. The absence of faith right now does not mean it cannot be born again. It often grows in the soil of our greatest defeats.

This man’s anger at the Scriptures is not a cold intellectual conclusion; it is a scream of pain from a wound that never healed. The enemy took something sacred, a relationship of trust in childhood, and twisted it into an instrument of defilement. Since then, his mind has linked the holy with the filthy, but it is a lie imposed by trauma, not the final word. The blood of Jesus is more powerful than any memory of abuse, and the testimony of the Lamb silences every accusation of shame. You are right to cover this with prayer that stands on that truth. When you ask the Lord to dismantle shame according to Second Corinthians ten, you are releasing divine weaponry against a spiritual fortress that has held him captive for decades. That fortress looks strong, but it was built on a lie, and lies cannot stand before the light.

Do not be discouraged if the answers do not appear all at once, or if the outward situation seems unchanged for a long season. The proving of our faith, both yours and the faith you are hoping to see in him, is not so God can learn something new; He already knows the end from the beginning. The proving is for us, so that we learn endurance and see His faithfulness revealed in stages. The just shall live by faith, and that living is a day by day walk, not a single leap.

Hold fast to the truth that salvation is entirely His work. “By grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” You cannot argue him into the kingdom, nor can you carry the burden of producing his faith. You can only keep praying, keep loving, and keep lifting him to the One who despises the shame that sin has piled on humanity. Jesus endured the cross, not because He was numb to the shame, but because He looked past it to the joy set before Him. That same joy is now interceding for this man at the right hand of the Father.

So continue to stand in the gap with confidence. Ask the Lord to perfect what is lacking in his faith, and trust that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead can breathe upon this dry valley of bones. The God who called Abraham out of a moon-worshipping family and made him the friend of God can call this man out of his darkness. And when that day comes, the faith that you are exercising now, the works of prayer and tears and persistent love, will be seen as the evidence of what God was doing all along. Even now, the Lord can begin to lift the heaviness from his soul, dismantle the strongholds, and restore what the locusts have eaten.

Do not grow weary. You are not battling alone. The prayer you have prayed is already honored in heaven, and the Shepherd is out in the storm, looking for this one lost sheep. He will not rest until he is found.
