Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you stop my brother from getting a tesla car, rebuking the plans of the devil, standing on Zechariah 3:2. I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We hear your heart and stand with you in seeking God’s will in this matter. While we understand your concern for your brother, we must approach this with wisdom and discernment, ensuring our prayers align with Scripture and God’s purposes.

First, let us affirm that we do indeed have authority in Christ to rebuke the works of the enemy. Zechariah 3:2 declares, "May Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, may Yahweh rebuke you, who has chosen Jerusalem." And Revelation 12:11 reminds us that believers overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. However, we must be cautious not to confuse personal preferences with spiritual warfare. The purchase of a car, even one as modern as a Tesla, is not inherently sinful or demonic unless it is tied to ungodly motives (such as pride, reckless spending, or idolatry of material things).

If your concern stems from financial irresponsibility, we would encourage you to pray for wisdom for your brother, as Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." If it is about safety, we can pray for protection, as Psalm 91:11 assures, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." But if this is simply a matter of personal dislike, we must surrender our will to God’s, trusting that He works all things for good (Romans 8:28).

Let us also address the importance of praying in alignment with God’s will. James 4:3 warns, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." Instead of asking God to stop your brother from getting a Tesla, we should pray for his heart, that he would seek God’s wisdom in all decisions, including financial ones.

We pray this prayer with you:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We thank You for Your wisdom and sovereignty over all things. Lord, we lift up [brother’s name] to You, asking that You would guide his steps and decisions according to Your perfect will. If there is any ungodly influence in this matter, whether pride, greed, or worldly desire, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, grant him discernment in his finances, that he would be a good steward of what You have entrusted to him. If this purchase would lead him into bondage, we ask that You close the door. If it is a matter of Your provision, we ask that You bless it according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we pray for unity in the family and that Your peace would reign in every decision. May Your will be done, not ours. We stand on the truth that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We cover this prayer in the precious blood of Jesus and declare victory in His name. Amen."

If your brother is a believer, we encourage you to speak with him in love, sharing your concerns with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). If he is not a believer, pray for his salvation, for that is the greatest deliverance of all (2 Corinthians 4:4). Let us always remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12), and our weapons are prayer, truth, and love.

We share your heart for your brother, and we love that you bring your concerns straight to Jesus, trusting in His power and protection. It’s clear you care deeply about the choices he makes, and that kind of love is a gift.

Sometimes when we’re worried about a loved one, everything can start to feel like a direct attack from the enemy. But as we pray with you, we sense that the deeper need might simply be for your brother to walk in wisdom and safety, whatever vehicle he drives. A car itself isn’t inherently evil, but a reckless decision, a financial trap, or a spirit of materialism can certainly open a door to trouble. So we want to join you in praying for God’s best in his life, without getting stuck on the specific object.

One concrete next step might be to have a calm, caring conversation with him, not to preach, but to understand. Ask him what’s drawing him to this car, and listen. You might gently share if you see any practical concerns like debt or distraction. Then, together, you can ask God for clear guidance. The blood of Jesus covers our loved ones even when they don’t see what we see, and God is fully capable of closing doors we couldn’t shut ourselves.

Jesus, we thank You for this sister’s faithful prayers and her love for her brother. We ask that You surround him with Your wisdom and protection. Guide his decisions, guard him from anything that would pull him away from You, and help him to desire what truly honors You. Give our sister peace as she trusts You with the outcome, and let this situation become an opportunity for deeper relationship and trust in Your care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Many speak of deliverance as though it were a matter of steering a brother away from a purchase, as if the devil’s grand design culminates in a carriage of metal and glass. You cry out with Zechariah’s words, but the Angel of the Lord rebuked Satan over Joshua the high priest, a man plucked from the fire, standing in filthy garments, needing cleansing from sin. Is your brother’s peril truly that he might acquire a Tesla, or is there a deeper pit from which he must be delivered? Consider whether this zeal has mistaken the shadow for the substance. The enemy’s craft is far more subtle; he shoots his arrows when we are already distressed, and one of his chief devices is to set brother suspicious against brother over matters that are not the weightier things of the law. The deliverance Christ won at Calvary was not from earthly conveyances but from the guilt and power of sin, from the iron chains of Satan’s dominion. He brought us forth from the house of bondage, not by preserving us from every trivial trial, but by shedding His precious blood. Will you then spend your prayer ammunition on the chariots of this world, when the strong man armed still holds many a soul in his grip through unbelief, pride, and love of sin?

Your prayer speaks of rebuking the devil’s plans, yet I must ask: which plans trouble you more, that a redeemed man might drive a certain car, or that he might wander into the wilderness of worldliness and forget his God? The accuser of the brethren is ever ready to whisper that God’s ear is shut and that no deliverance will come unless we seize the reins ourselves. But is this the deliverance of the saints? Jacob at the brook Jabbok cried for deliverance from Esau, not from a change in his brother’s camel count, but from a deadly, bloodthirsty conflict. Our true deliverance is accompanied by health and strength, there is not one feeble person among the tribes the Lord brings forth. When we pray “Lead us not into temptation,” we do not ask to be shielded from every glittering object, but to be kept from the evil that would ensnare our souls. You know not what temptation would overcome you if you were placed in your brother’s circumstances. Perhaps the greater danger lies in this very prayer, if it breeds spiritual pride or a critical spirit that judges another man’s servant. The devil is a fool, but he is also a master of distracting the saints from the real battle by fixing their eyes on the external and incidental.

Turn your gaze, then, to the deliverance that truly matters. Christ has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into His kingdom. Our sanctification does not come by imposing our scruples on others as the essence of godliness, but by looking alone to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. The believer’s conduct after trouble is to declare the works of the Lord, not to magnify every possible snare into a Satanic plot requiring exorcism by prayer. If we had no troubles, we would have little to declare; yet the great declaration is that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Has your brother been snatched as a brand from the burning? Then rejoice, and let God manage his heart in the smaller matters. The blood of the Lamb overcomes the accuser, but it does not call us to a life of anxious suspicion over lawful things. Pray rather that neither of you is led into the temptation of a divided spirit, for ecclesiastical discord and brotherly strife are arrows far more venomous than any automobile. Declare the great deliverance, and leave the lesser puzzles to the Spirit’s gentle leading, for He alone knows the ransom price that has been found and the way each pilgrim must walk.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When you pray to stop your brother from getting a Tesla, invoking Zechariah and the blood of Jesus as if this purchase were a demonic plot, consider what you are truly doing. The devil laughs when he hears such a prayer, for you are not thrusting the sword against him but against your own brother. You redden your tongue and devour your own family member, making yourself a spectacle of division rather than a vessel of mercy. Where in all of scripture are we commanded to bind a man's choice of a chariot? You have mistaken personal dislike for spiritual warfare, and in doing so you have handed the enemy a trophy.

If your brother is in error, if his heart is set on vanity or pride, then your task is not to commandeer God's throne and decree the thwarting of his plans over a piece of metal and glass. No, your task is to love him, to gently correct, to show a better way through self denial and sober example. The devil wishes to separate brothers, to kindle wrath and estrangement over earthly things, while Christ desires reconciliation and the salvation of souls. Do not run past your brother as he lies under a burden, with the devil standing by to light the fire. Lift him up instead. Pray for his true deliverance from every evil work, not from his choice of an automobile, but from the covetousness or worldliness that might be driving it. That is a prayer worthy of the blood of the Lamb.

I appreciate your heart in bringing this before the Lord and standing on His Word. You are right to hold Scripture in high regard, and you have mentioned truths that run through the whole of our faith. But I want to walk with you a bit deeper into what these things mean, so that your prayer might be rooted even more firmly in the purposes of God.

The precious blood of Jesus is not a charm we invoke to control circumstances or the choices of another person. Scripture tells us why it is so holy and powerful. God has always taught that the life is in the blood, and He gave it to make atonement. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. That is why Jesus shed His own blood: to put away sin once and for all. His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness. It opened a new and living way for us to enter the very presence of God with boldness. By His blood we have been brought near, where we were once far off.

When Revelation speaks of overcoming the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, the context is the great cosmic battle against the deceiver who stands accusing the brethren before God day and night. The victory is over sin, condemnation, and the power of Satan to separate us from God. We overcome because Jesus has already conquered. He is seated at the right hand of the Father, ever making intercession for us. Our part is to cling to His finished work, walk in obedience, and testify to who He is, even if it costs us our lives.

So I would gently ask you to consider: is the purchase of a vehicle truly a scheme of the devil in the sense the Scriptures mean? Might this instead be an opportunity to entrust the matter to God and examine your own heart? The blood gives us access to the throne of grace so we can find mercy and help in time of need. That access is meant to transform us, to bring our will into alignment with the Father’s, not to force His hand toward a specific outcome we desire.

Remember that even our Lord Jesus knew what it was to have family members who did not believe. His own brothers at one time did not share His mission. That can be deeply painful. Yet He pointed us to a deeper family, one born not of bloodlines but of the Spirit through His sacrifice. If your concern is for your ###’s spiritual well-being, then the most powerful prayer you can offer is that he would come to know the cleansing power of that same blood, that he would be born again into the household of God. That is the true victory, far greater than steering him away from any earthly possession.

Bring your cares to the Lord, because He invites you to do so. But as you pray, let the blood of Jesus do its real work in you: cleansing your own soul, drawing you into deeper trust, and teaching you to intercede like our High Priest, who ever lives to pray for us according to the will of God. Pray for your ###’s heart, for his salvation, for wisdom from above, and leave the rest in the hands of the One who purchased you with His own blood.
