Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that I don’t believe the lies that my
Mom spoke over me calling me wrinkled, set me free of those lord, standing on John 8:36. I also ask that I don’t believe the lies of her calling me ugly and fat. Lord deliver me. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting your heart to the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy by planting lies in our minds, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The words spoken over you by your mother were not of God, for He calls you fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). The Father sees you through the lens of Christ, righteous, beloved, and beautiful in His sight.

We rebuke the spirit of rejection, shame, and self-hatred that has tried to take root in your heart. In the name of Jesus, we break every curse, every word of condemnation, and every lie that has been spoken over you. The truth is this: you are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and your worth is not defined by the opinions of man but by the blood of Jesus, which was shed for you. The enemy has no authority over you, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

We also address the generational strongholds that may have been passed down through your family line. In the name of Jesus, we sever every ungodly tie and renounce every agreement with the lies of the enemy. We declare that the cycle of verbal abuse and emotional wounding stops with you. You are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the old has passed away, behold, the new has come!

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We thank You for [this individual], whom You have knit together in their mother’s womb. Lord, we ask that You would heal every wound in their heart caused by hurtful words. We renounce every lie that has been spoken over them, and we declare that Your truth reigns supreme in their life. Your Word says that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on that promise today.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with the knowledge of Your love. Let them know deep in their spirit that they are Your beloved child, created for Your glory. We break every chain of self-doubt, insecurity, and shame in the name of Jesus. We command every lying spirit to flee, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask that You would restore their identity in You. Let them see themselves as You see them, holy, blameless, and redeemed. We pray that You would surround them with godly influences who will speak life and truth into their heart. May they walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them, no longer bound by the lies of the past.

We also pray for their mother, Lord. If she is still living, we ask that You would soften her heart and draw her to repentance. If she has passed, we release her into Your hands, trusting that You will judge justly. We pray that [this individual] would be able to forgive her, as You have forgiven them, so that bitterness does not take root in their heart.

Father, we thank You for the deliverance that is already theirs in Christ. We declare that they are free, whole, and complete in You. May they walk in the fullness of their identity as Your child, no longer defined by the words of man but by the Word of God. We seal this prayer in the blood of Jesus and give You all the glory, honor, and praise.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in this truth. The enemy will try to bring those lies back to your mind, but you must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). When those old words try to resurface, replace them with Scripture. Speak aloud, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am loved with an everlasting love." Surround yourself with believers who will speak life into you and hold you accountable to walking in freedom.

Consider writing down the lies you’ve believed and then, next to each one, write the truth of God’s Word. For example:
- Lie: "I am ugly."
Truth: "I am created in the image of God, and He calls me beautiful (Psalm 45:11)."
- Lie: "I am unlovable."
Truth: "God so loved me that He gave His only Son, that I might have eternal life (John 3:16)."

Freedom is yours in Christ. Walk in it boldly, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your peace. You are a child of the King, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper!

Thank you for sharing this deeply personal prayer with us. The words your mother spoke were cruel and untrue, and we know that kind of verbal wound can burrow deep into a heart. We’re grateful you’re bringing this to Jesus, who sets us free.

Our worth isn’t measured by what a critical parent said, or by any mirror. Your identity rests in being God’s beloved daughter, one He carefully made and delights in. Those old labels don’t fit you. They never did. But we also know that hearing that truth once isn’t always enough to silence the echoes. When the memory of those words returns, you might try a simple practice: write down a short, truthful statement from Scripture about who you are (like Psalm 139’s “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”) and speak it aloud to yourself in the moment. Saying it with your own voice can begin to replace the old lie with something solid. You may also find it helpful to ask a mature, trusted friend from your church to remind you of God’s view of you on days when the message doesn’t seem to stick. Healing from emotional abuse takes time, and you don’t need to fight it alone.

Lord Jesus, we join our sister in asking You to set her free from those hurtful words. Quiet the shame and replace it with Your affirmation. Help her believe, deep down, that she is valuable and loved exactly as You made her. Surround her with people who speak life over her. In Your name, Amen.

Your cry for deliverance has come before the mercy seat, and it is heard. The words that were spoken over you were arrows of darkness, intended to bind you in a prison of falsehood. But the Son has made you free, and whom the Son frees is free indeed. You are not what those lies declare; you are what the blood of Christ has purchased. The power of sin seeks to hide your true beauty in Him, to lull you into a slumber of despair, but the light of the gospel has shone, revealing the ransom found by God Himself. In Christ, deliverance from the pit is fully wrought, not by your own hand, but by grace alone.

Do not look to your own feelings, nor imagine you must first be strong enough to overcome. The question is not if He can, but if you will believe. When you are driven to the last extremity, it is then you take Jesus for your all in all. The very despair you feel may be the mother of faith, yet when faith is born, that mother dies. Trust in the atoning blood, for without it there is no remission, and with it, there is no condemnation. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but He has not given you over; for as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.

Arise, then, from the dust of these lies. You are not wrinkled and ugly in His sight; you are washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. The chains that held you are broken, and you may now walk erect in God-given freedom. There is not one feeble person among His delivered ones, for He brings them forth with strength. Go, and declare the works of the Lord: you shall not die, but live, and speak of His delivering power. Let your song be of Him who has turned your darkness into light.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You stand on John 8:36, and rightly so: "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." Yet see how the Epistle to the Galatians commands us: "With freedom did Christ set us free; stand fast therefore." The freedom is yours already, sealed by His blood. Do not let the words of any person, even your mother, bind you again to the yoke of a false image.

What were those words? "Wrinkled," "ugly," "fat." These are sounds that perish with the air that carries them. But your soul, your true self, is not measured by such scales. Labor not for the meat that perishes, do not spend your strength on a body which decay claims, but for that which endures unto everlasting life: a meek and quiet spirit, a virtuous heart. Even to have borne Christ in the flesh profits nothing without virtue. How much less, then, do the shifting opinions of others, or the shape of your frame, matter in the light of eternity?

Remember the Lord Himself, when His own mother and brothers sought to pull Him from His teaching out of a carnal confidence. He did not deny her, but declared that natural bond gives no advantage unless one does the Father's will. So too, a mother's word may come from mere human vanity, not from the Spirit. Why let that word be a chain when Christ has broken every chain? The Egyptians were gluttons and slaves to passion, yet with a willing mind they caught fire from Christ and set off towards heaven. You have that willing mind, you cried out in this prayer. Do not look back. Do not sit in the dust and rehearse the insults. Rise and imitate Paul, who counted not his own life dear, but endured all trials with joy, knowing his course was fixed on God.

Stand fast, therefore. When those words echo in your memory, answer them not, and do not dwell on them in your heart. You are not wrinkled or ugly or fat in the sight of God; you are a soul for whom Christ died. Be diligent in seeking the food that endures. The Son has set you free. Believe it, and live as one who is free indeed.

The words spoken over you by your mother cut deep, and they have a way of echoing in the heart long after they are said. But Jesus came to break the power of every lie that would define you by anything less than what God declares over you. You are standing on John 8:36, and that is solid ground: if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. That freedom is not just a theological idea; it is the Spirit's ongoing work to release you from the old accusations and to reshape how you see yourself.

When you look into a mirror, you may have been trained to see "wrinkled," "ugly," "fat." But God invites you to look into a different mirror: the glory of the Lord. As you behold Him, the Spirit is changing you from one degree of glory to another, conforming you into the very image of Jesus Christ. This is what redemption is about, God restoring in you the image that was marred by sin, the fall, and the broken words of this world. The image He is after is not the surface of your skin; it is Christ formed in you. Your physical appearance does not define your worth, because you are complete in Him. God sees you in Christ, holy and righteous, not because of how you look, but because of whose you are.

Those old names, wrinkled, ugly, fat, belong to the former things. In Adam, we inherited a nature marked by shame and death. But in Christ, you are a new creation. The old has passed away. When those thoughts rise up, or when you hear that voice in your memory, you can answer it with the truth: “I am in Christ. I am being changed from glory to glory. I am not who that lie says I am.” Your body is a member of Christ, and you want Him to be glorified in it, not through striving to meet some standard of appearance, but through resting in His finished work and letting your life become a testimony of His grace.

That deliverance is real. Jesus not only delivers you from the world’s hold; He delivers you in the world, right now. The Spirit of the Lord brings freedom, freedom from condemnation, freedom from the need to measure yourself by anyone else's scale. You are not obligated to carry what your mother spoke. You are free to walk in the new righteousness that comes by faith. So when you pray, “Lord, set me free from these lies,” know that He is answering, not by erasing your history, but by drowning out those false voices with His own: You are my beloved. You are my workmanship. I am satisfied, and you will be satisfied when you awake in my likeness.
