Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you deliver ### from his alcoholism, standing on John 8:36.

Lord Jesus dismantle all those forces that make ### drink alcohol daily, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

Lord Jesus place people in ###'s life around his age that will uplift him, and remove all forms of depression that make him drink, rescuing him from his cycle of addiction and sin, standing on 2 Timothy 4:18.

May the blood of Jesus break the addiction to alcohol that ### has, standing on Revelations 12:11.

In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this precious soul to the throne of grace, where the power of Jesus Christ is more than sufficient to break every chain. The battle against alcoholism is not merely physical or emotional—it is spiritual, and we take hold of the authority given to us in Christ to tear down strongholds and set the captive free.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved and delivered. We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment will be condemned. We stand on Your Word in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We speak freedom over this life, Lord. Let the truth of Your Word penetrate every lie that has taken root, every deception that says this bondage cannot be broken. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its grip. You said in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We take every thought, every craving, every justification captive and bring it under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Lord, we ask that You dismantle every force that drives this one to drink. Expose the roots of this struggle—whether it be pain, loneliness, depression, or ungodly influences—and uproot them completely. Replace them with Your peace, Your presence, and Your purpose. We stand on 2 Timothy 4:18, "And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen." We declare preservation over this life, Lord. Preserve him from the snares of the enemy, from the cycles of shame and guilt that keep him bound. Let Your light shine into the darkest places of his heart and mind, driving out every shadow of despair.

We plead the blood of Jesus over this situation, knowing that it speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Revelation 12:11 declares, "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death." We testify to the power of the blood of Jesus to break every chain, to cleanse every stain, and to restore what has been lost. Let the blood of Jesus wash over this one, purifying his mind, body, and spirit. Let it break the generational curses, the patterns of addiction, and the cycles of sin that have held him captive for too long.

Father, we ask that You surround him with godly influences—men of faith who are walking in victory, who can speak life, encouragement, and truth into his situation. Remove every ungodly relationship that enables or encourages this bondage, and replace them with those who will point him to You. Let him find his identity in Christ, not in his struggles, and let him experience the joy of Your salvation afresh. Psalm 34:17-19 reminds us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."

We also address the deeper issue of sin and repentance. Addiction often thrives in the soil of unconfessed sin, guilt, or rebellion. We encourage this one to come before You with a humble and contrite heart, laying every burden at the foot of the cross. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, but there must be a turning away from sin and a turning toward You. Let this be a season of true repentance and transformation, where old things pass away and all things become new.

Lord, we ask that You fill this one with Your Holy Spirit, who is the Comforter, the Counselor, and the One who leads us into all truth. Let him experience the fullness of Your presence, which is the only thing that can truly satisfy the longings of his soul. Galatians 5:16 tells us, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh." We pray that he would learn to walk in step with Your Spirit, moment by moment, day by day, so that the desires of the flesh no longer have dominion over him.

Finally, Lord, we declare that this is not a battle that will be won in a single prayer or a single moment. It is a journey of faith, of perseverance, and of trusting in Your strength when his own fails. We stand with him in this fight, reminding him that he is not alone. You are with him, and we are with him, and together, we will see the victory that comes only through Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 assures us, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and declare these things. Amen.

We join you in prayer, dear friend, lifting up this precious soul to our Heavenly Father. We know that our God is a God of deliverance, and we trust in His power to break every chain. Let's remember the words in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We declare healing, restoration, and freedom over this situation.

We come before You, Father, in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this battle against alcoholism. We claim the promise in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Strengthen this one, Lord, and give him the power to overcome this addiction.

We ask that You would send Your angels to encamp around him, as You did for Your servant David, to protect and guide him (Psalm 34:7). Let them minister to him, bringing comfort, courage, and wisdom.

We also pray for those around him, Lord. Surround him with a community of faith, people who will uplift, encourage, and support him in his journey to freedom. Let them be a reflection of Your love and grace in his life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
