We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting this situation to the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We stand firm on the truth that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
Father God, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers this prayer, for it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed from sin and made righteous before You (Revelation 12:11). We stand on Your Word, which declares that if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed (John 8:36). Lord, we come against every scheme of the enemy that seeks to entangle and ensnare Your children. We rebuke the spirit of disrespect, arrogance, and foolishness that has taken root in this situation, for Your Word warns that a fool’s mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul (Proverbs 18:7). We declare that every word spoken in disrespect and scorn will be silenced by the power of the Holy Spirit, and we ask that You convict hearts of their sin, leading them to repentance and restoration.
We stand on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, which reminds us that though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Lord, we ask that You dismantle every stronghold that has been established through this adulterous relationship. We declare that the sin of adultery is a violation of Your holy covenant, and we ask that You break every ungodly soul tie and unrighteous bond formed through this union. Your Word is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual immorality—whether fornication or adultery—is a sin against Your design (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18). We pray that You would bring conviction, repentance, and healing to all involved, that they may turn from their sin and walk in the light of Your truth.
We stand on Jeremiah 12:14, where You declare that You will uproot the households that do evil and pluck them out of their land. Lord, we ask that You uproot this ungodly household and dismantle every counterfeit structure that seeks to mimic Your design for family. We bind the spirit of deception that has led this woman and this man to believe that their sinful union is acceptable in Your sight. We declare that no counterfeit can stand in the presence of Your holiness, and we ask that You expose the lies of the enemy and bring truth to light. Your Word declares that what God has joined together, let no man separate, but this union was never joined by You, for it is built on sin and rebellion (Matthew 19:6). We ask that You sever every ungodly connection and restore what has been broken according to Your will.
We also stand on Zechariah 3:2, where You rebuke Satan and declare, “Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?” Lord, we ask that You rescue this woman from the fire of destruction and deliver her from the snares of the enemy. We pray that she would come to know the freedom and forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ. We ask that You disconnect her path from the one who has submitted this prayer, for Your Word warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You place a shield of protection over this individual and all who are affected by this situation, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, we pray for the married man involved in this sin. We ask that You break the hardness of his heart and lead him to repentance. Your Word declares that if a man is caught in any trespass, those who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness, considering themselves lest they also be tempted (Galatians 6:1). We pray that he would turn away from this sin and seek reconciliation with his wife, if it is Your will, or that You would lead him to a place of true repentance and restoration. We also pray for his wife, that You would comfort her, strengthen her, and heal her heart from the betrayal she has endured.
Lord, we ask that You would bring healing and wholeness to all who have been wounded by this situation. We declare that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that You would mend what has been broken and restore what has been lost. We ask that You would fill every void with Your presence and replace every lie with Your truth. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this situation, and we stand firm on the promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we declare freedom, deliverance, and restoration over this situation. We rebuke every spirit of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness, and we ask that You fill hearts with Your love and peace. We pray that all involved would come to know You as their Lord and Savior, if they do not already, and that they would walk in the light of Your truth. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that Your will shall be done in this situation. Amen.
