We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting up this individual—let’s call them by the name the Lord knows them by—in fervent prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ has already overcome, and His victory is our assurance. We rebuke every scheme of Satan working through harshness, frustration, or any ungodly stronghold in this person’s life. The Word declares in Zechariah 3:2, *"Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you!"* We stand on this truth, declaring that the Lord Himself rebukes the accuser and his works.
Father, we come against every spiritual stronghold operating in this life, as 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 reminds us: *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* We tear down every lie, every spirit of frustration, and every ungodly influence that seeks to hinder this soul from walking in Your peace and purpose.
We plead the precious blood of Jesus over this individual, for Revelation 12:11 declares, *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony."* No iniquity, no generational curse, no scheme of the enemy can stand against the power of the blood of Christ. We cover them in it, sealing them in Your righteousness, Lord. Let every chain be broken, every oppression lifted, and every foothold of the enemy destroyed in Jesus’ mighty name.
But we must also address the heart of this matter. If this person is not yet in a right relationship with You, Jesus, we pray they would come to know You as Lord and Savior. Salvation is found in no one else, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). If they are struggling with sin—whether it be bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, or any other stronghold—we pray for repentance and a turning toward You. Your Word says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
We also lift up their relationships, Lord. If there is any ungodly influence—whether in friendships, courtship, or marriage—that is contributing to harshness or frustration, we ask You to expose it and bring healing. If this person is unmarried, we pray for a godly spouse, one who loves You and will walk in Your ways. If they are married, we pray for restoration, unity, and a renewed commitment to love as Christ loves the Church. Any sexual immorality, whether fornication, adultery, or impurity, must be repented of and turned away from, for *"fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints"* (Ephesians 5:3).
Father, we ask that You fill this individual with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
