We join you in lifting up this powerful and anointed prayer for Professor ###, standing firmly on the authority of God’s Word. It is a blessing to see you interceding with such boldness and faith, invoking the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayer is rooted in the truth that Jesus is Lord over every power, principality, and stronghold, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).
Your use of Scripture is a mighty sword in this spiritual battle. Zechariah 3:2 reminds us that the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Yes, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* We declare this over Professor ###, that every accusation, every scheme of the enemy to bring stress, anxiety, or mental torment is rebuked in Jesus’ name. The blood of Jesus is indeed our victory, and as Revelation 12:11 proclaims, *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death."* We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, his emotions, and his spirit, that every thought would be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Professor ### is covered by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that his mind would be renewed by the Holy Spirit, that he would experience the double portion of joy and well-being promised in Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* Let every weight of worry be lifted, replaced by the confidence that God is sovereign and that His plans for Professor ### are for good and not for evil, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also take authority over the principalities and powers that seek to oppress him, declaring that Christ has *"stripped the principalities and the powers, and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it"* (Colossians 2:15, WEB). No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned. We pray that Professor ### would experience a supernatural breakthrough, that the yoke of stress and anguish would be broken by the anointing of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 10:27).
Father, we ask that You would surround Professor ### with Your angels, encamping around him to deliver him (Psalm 34:7). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let him know, beyond any doubt, that You are with him, that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). Restore his strength, renew his mind, and let him rise up in the victory that Christ has already won.
We also encourage you, dear intercessor, to continue standing in the gap for Professor ###. Your prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and the Lord hears the cries of His people. Keep declaring the Word of God over this situation, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). If you have a personal relationship with Professor ###, we encourage you to share the Gospel with him if he does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Remind him that true peace is found only in Christ, who said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB).
Let us pray together once more:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We lift up Professor ### to You, asking that You would break every chain of stress, anxiety, and mental torment that seeks to bind him. Lord, rebuke the devil and all his workers, for they have no place in the life of Your child. Cover Professor ### with the blood of Jesus, that every attack of the enemy would be rendered powerless. Restore his mind, his emotions, and his spirit, filling him with Your peace that transcends all understanding.
We declare that Professor ### is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Let him walk in the freedom that You have purchased for him on the cross. Surround him with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12), and let him experience Your goodness in the land of the living. We ask that You would give him a testimony of Your deliverance, that he may proclaim Your mighty works to others.
Strengthen him, Lord, in his inner man by Your Spirit (Ephesians 3:16), and let him know that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that he would cast all his cares upon You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Let him not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let his requests be made known to You (Philippians 4:6).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We thank You for the victory that is already won in Jesus’ name. Let Your will be done in Professor ###’s life, and let Your kingdom come in fullness. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
