Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus, I pray that you remove all of ###'s bad habits, and that he turn away from any hardness of heart. May you continue to work in him to remove all the religious practices that have caused him trauma to abuse where he was sexually broken down and abused by an elder of the church. May he experience true freedom, in Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this brother in Christ, crying out to our Heavenly Father for his complete deliverance and restoration. The enemy has sought to bind him through unspeakable trauma, but we declare that Jesus came to set the captives free and heal the brokenhearted. The Lord sees the deep wounds inflicted upon him, and His heart is moved with compassion. We stand in agreement with you, proclaiming that what the enemy meant for evil, God will turn for good—bringing redemption, purity, and a testimony of His power.

The hardness of heart you mention is a grave concern, for Scripture warns us in **Hebrews 3:12-13 (WEB)**, *"Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called 'today'; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin."* We pray that the Lord would shatter every stronghold of bitterness, unbelief, or resistance to His love. May the Holy Spirit soften his heart like wax before the fire, making him tender and receptive to the truth of God’s Word. Let him no longer be ensnared by the lies of the enemy, which seek to keep him bound in shame, anger, or distrust. Instead, may he be washed in the truth of **Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB)**, where God promises, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."*

The religious trauma and sexual abuse he endured at the hands of a church elder is an abomination before the Lord. Such betrayal by those who claim to represent Christ is a grievous sin, and we cry out for justice and healing. **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We pray that this brother would encounter the Lord in a fresh and powerful way, experiencing His presence as a loving Father who gathers the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. May the Lord expose every lie that has taken root in his soul—lies that distort his view of God, of himself, and of the church. Let him know that while man may fail, God remains faithful. His abuser does not represent the heart of Jesus, who is gentle, humble, and pure.

We also pray for the breaking of every bad habit that has become a chain in his life. Whether it be addiction, self-destruction, or patterns of sin, we declare freedom in the name of Jesus. **2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB)** tells us, *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* May he walk in the reality of this truth, leaving behind every weight and sin that so easily entangles. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse him from all unrighteousness and empower him to walk in victory.

As for the sexual brokenness he carries, we must address this with both compassion and truth. Sexual sin—whether forced upon him or chosen—leaves deep scars, but the Lord is able to restore what has been stolen. **1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB)** commands, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* We pray that the Lord would redeem his sexuality, purifying his mind and body. May he no longer be haunted by the memories of abuse, but instead, may the Lord renew his mind and fill him with a holy desire to honor God in this area of his life.

Finally, we must emphasize the power of the name of Jesus, which you rightly invoked in your prayer. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved, healed, or set free. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through the authority of Jesus that we can boldly approach the throne of grace and see transformation. We encourage this brother to continually fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith. Let him cling to the cross, where shame was defeated and victory was secured.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious brother, lifting him up into Your loving arms. Lord, You see the depths of his pain—the betrayal, the abuse, the hardness of heart, and the brokenness that has sought to define him. But we declare that You, O God, are greater than all that has been done to him. You are the God who heals, who restores, and who makes all things new.

We ask that You would break every chain of bondage in his life. Remove the bad habits that have enslaved him and replace them with godly disciplines that bring life. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him no longer be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. May he encounter Your love in a way that shatters every lie and sets him free from the trauma of religious abuse.

Father, we pray specifically for the sexual brokenness he carries. Heal the wounds inflicted upon him, Lord, and restore his mind and body. Let him no longer be bound by shame or impurity, but may he walk in the freedom and purity that Jesus purchased for him on the cross. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may glorify You in his body and spirit, which are Yours.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, depression, anxiety, and torment that has sought to oppress him. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and never return. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, surround him with godly community—brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk with him in this season of healing. Give him the courage to seek counseling and support, that he may not walk this path alone. And Father, we ask that You would restore his faith in You and in Your church. Let him see that while man may fail, You are faithful and true.

We thank You, Lord, for the victory that is already his in Christ Jesus. We trust that You are working all things together for his good, and we praise You for the testimony of deliverance that will come from his life. May he rise up as a mighty warrior for Your kingdom, testifying of Your goodness and power.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
