We join with you in lifting up this request, and we are grateful that you have come before the Lord with a heart of praise and a desire for deliverance, standing firmly on His Word. It is clear that you are engaged in spiritual warfare, and we commend you for putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is by His name alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace and find deliverance, restoration, and freedom.
We also take this moment to remind you—and all who may read this—that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). While you have named James as the vessel through which the enemy may be working, we must be careful to maintain a heart of forgiveness and love toward him, even as we rebuke the spiritual forces at work. Jesus commands us to *"love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44, WEB). This does not mean we ignore the spiritual battle, but it does mean we must guard our hearts against bitterness or unforgiveness, which can give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27).
You have stood on powerful Scriptures in your prayer, and we affirm them with you. The Lord rebukes Satan in Zechariah 3:2, declaring, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* We declare this over you now—you are a brand plucked from the fire, and the Lord is your defender. In Matthew 18:18, Jesus gives us authority to bind and loose, and we stand with you in binding every counterfeit spirit at work through this situation. We also declare the truth of John 8:36 over you: *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* Freedom is your inheritance in Christ, and we pray that you walk in it fully, unshackled by any scheme of the enemy.
You have also asked for restoration in relation to any acquaintance from James, standing on Isaiah 61:7, which promises that instead of shame, you will have double honor, and instead of disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance. We pray this over you now—that God would restore what has been lost or broken, that He would turn every curse into a blessing, and that He would redeem this situation for His glory. *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). We claim that abundant life for you, knowing that God is faithful to restore and renew.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. Are there any areas where you may need to repent or release unforgiveness? Have you sought the Lord’s wisdom in how to navigate this relationship with James in a way that honors God? Sometimes, the enemy uses relational conflicts to distract us from the Lord’s purposes, and we must be diligent to keep our focus on Christ. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). While this does not mean compromising your faith or tolerating sin, it does mean seeking peace and trusting God to fight your battles.
Now, let us pray together over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who seeks deliverance and restoration. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, a God who fights for Your children and sets the captives free. We stand with her in agreement, declaring that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You rebuke every spiritual force at work through this situation, just as You rebuked Satan in Zechariah 3:2. We bind every counterfeit spirit, every scheme of the enemy, and we loose Your peace, Your freedom, and Your restoration over her life.
Father, we pray that You would expose any hidden agendas or spiritual strongholds that may be operating through James. Give our sister discernment and wisdom to navigate this relationship in a way that honors You. If there is any area where she needs to repent or release unforgiveness, we ask that You would reveal it to her and grant her the grace to obey. Help her to love as You love, even in the midst of conflict, and to trust You to vindicate her in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we ask for restoration in every area where the enemy has sought to bring lack or shame. We declare that You are turning this situation around for her good and Your glory. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, Your deliverance, and Your restoration. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her heart be guarded by Your truth.
We also pray that You would surround her with godly counsel and support, that she would not walk through this alone but would be upheld by the body of Christ. Remind her that her identity is in You, and that no scheme of the enemy can separate her from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this situation to draw her closer to You. Let her see Your hand at work in her life, and let her trust in You grow stronger through this trial. We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Savior, our Deliverer, and our Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, clothed in the armor of God, and rooted in His Word. Keep praising Him, even in the midst of the battle, for praise is a powerful weapon against the enemy. *"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!"* (Psalm 150:6, WEB). Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and trust that the Lord is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you feel led, seek out a mature believer or pastor for additional prayer and support. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you, and most importantly, the Lord is with you. *"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go"* (Joshua 1:9, WEB).
