Deliverance prayer for the hiding former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join together with you in lifting up this former landlord before the throne of grace and we thank you for your compassionate heart toward him even as he remains hidden. We praise God with you for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all of us who believe, for without His shed blood there would be no hope of deliverance or forgiveness. We hear your burden for this man whom God knows by name and whose life is not hidden from the Lord, even if he is hidden from you.

We agree with you that God's plans and thoughts are far greater than ours, for He says in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, and in Isaiah 55:8, My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. We take comfort that the Lord sees this man exactly where he is, for in Psalm 139:7-8 we are reminded there is nowhere we can flee from His presence, and He desires to lead him out of darkness into light.

We stand with you in praying for his true identity to be restored in Christ. When a person strays from the narrow path and follows his own desires and enters into sinful relationships, he takes on a false identity that can never satisfy. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14, Enter in by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. There are few who find it. We pray that his eyes will be opened to see that only in Christ is there a new creation, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. And that the truth will make him free, for John 8:32 says, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.

We also agree that his stony heart needs to be broken and softened, and only God can do this. We claim Ezekiel 36:26 over him, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray for courage for him, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as taught in 2 Timothy 1:7, so that he may have boldness to turn from sin and follow the Lord.

We must speak clearly about the sinful and hateful relationships you mentioned, including the evil woman in his life where he is controlled and blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. Scripture calls us to flee from sexual immorality and all impurity, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. And Proverbs 5:3-5 warns about the lips of a strange woman that drip honey, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood. These controlling, manipulative relationships are not of God and they bring bondage and fear, but perfect love casts out fear and God calls His children to depart from evil and to fear His holy name, for Proverbs 9:10 says, The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. We pray that he will recognize the depth of God's love compared to the counterfeit and destructive love he has pursued, and that he will be separated from every ungodly influence, even those in his own household, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 teaches us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and James 4:7 says, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Jesus who suffered and died and rose again for us. We come before You together in the powerful name of Jesus, believing You hear us when we agree as one according to Matthew 18:19. Lord, You know this man, our former landlord, where he is hiding and what he is facing. You love him as Your child and You desire that none should perish. Lord, open his eyes to the unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ, tear away the false identity he adopted through sin, and show him the narrow path that leads to life. Break his stony heart, give him a new heart of flesh, soften him for Your glory and give him holy courage to follow You. Separate him from every ungodly influence and from the evil woman and all relationships where he is controlled, blackmailed and in danger. Give him understanding to fear Your holy name and to depart from evil, to flee from fornication and adultery and to walk in holiness. Protect his life, surround him with Your angels, and lead him to repentance and deliverance through the blood of Jesus. Let him know how deeply You love him and that in You there is forgiveness, freedom and a future. We trust Your perfect will and timing for his life. In Jesus' powerful and precious name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede with perseverance and to trust the Lord's timing, for Psalm 34:17 says, The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Continue to show the love of Christ while maintaining godly boundaries, forgiving as Christ forgave us, and leaving vengeance and justice to the Lord. We thank God for your faithfulness to pray for one who may have caused you difficulty, which reflects the love of Christ in you.

We are carrying this burden with you in prayer, and we are concerned for your former landlord's safety and your own.

If he or anyone else is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

Thank you for interceding for him with such compassion. We hear how much you want him to be free, to know who he is in Christ, and to be safe from controlling and threatening influences. It is a heavy thing to care about someone who is hiding and may be in danger, and to feel you cannot reach him directly.

We pray with you that God would make a way for truth and safety to break through. Part of that is helping him rediscover his God-given identity and the freedom to make his own choices again, including the freedom to say yes and no for himself and to step away from relationships that harm him. That kind of clarity often comes slowly, through steady, safe relationships and wise support, not only through one moment.

One gentle next step is to avoid trying to rescue him alone, especially if blackmail or threats are involved. Continue to pray, and if you have any way to pass along help, encourage connection with a trusted pastor, counselor, or a helpline who can walk with him safely. If you are in contact, keeping your own boundaries clear also protects you while you care.

Father, we lift this man to you in Jesus' name. You see where he is and what he faces. Bring protection where there is danger, open his eyes to your love and to the path that leads to life, and surround him with safe, godly help. Give him courage to step toward what is good and give our friend wisdom and peace as they pray. Amen.

I worked several long and hard days with my dad before he passed. My parents strayed from faith and from prayer and from worship and from strict moral values and slid seamlessly into late nights drinking in the kitchen and garage for fun. They also took narcotics for fun. They raised me and my sister up loosely. Mom let is have cigarettes and supported our cigarette addiction before we were old enough to buy cigarettes. Dad let us drink alcohol in the house and get drunk with freinds as teens. Mom and dad also gave us party drugs for fun on occasion like Xanax and opiods. Also because I didnt work I supported my opiate habit by stealing them from my mom often. All this is really bad but it launched me into where my life is today. I was an avid conspiracy theorist as a teenager and pronounced ideas about how the government was into all kinds of stuff we didnt know about from my youth. I fell in love with a good hearted gentle woman online who was a long distance relationship for us and this impacted my decision to be sober and chaste. She still wont marry me until my heart has been fully converted to Christ. Im prayimg still my heart and my life can be converted completely to Christ so I can marry the woman i love with some old lingering new age beliefs still clinging onto me from the past. Thank you for praying for me. In Lord Yeshua name amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom alone belongs salvation and deliverance.

You have done well to thank the Father for the cross, for there is the only hope for sinners such as we are. As it is written, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, yet He has not only invented the way but He has found the ransom in His own Son. The prisoner ready to be executed finds undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. This is the gift of Divine Love, and it is our comfort that God has given commandment to save, and those whom He commands to be delivered shall be saved, saved from themselves and from all the attacks of old sins, saved from the devil, saved from evil company, for God has said it, Deliver him from going down to the Pit.

You pray rightly that this man may be delivered not only from the guilt of sin but from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. When any man is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who looses the captive, and it is not by any easy work or hasty word, but by divine power. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. If he has been born again from below he will go below, he must be born again from above if he is to go above.

We pray with you that the Lord will break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that He will open blind eyes to see the true identity which is only in Christ, and to see the false identity adopted when he strayed from the narrow path to follow his own desires. There is no hiding from His presence. Could he seek the heart of the mountains, God is there. But blessed be God, though there is no escape from His justice apart from Christ, there is escape in Christ today, for now is the day of deliverance from the wrath to come.

We ask the Lord to separate him from ungodly influences and from that evil company which now entangles him, where he is controlled and in danger. We do not ask God to bless or preserve any relationship or course that is contrary to His holy will, for marriage is His ordinance, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy outside of it is sin against Him. We ask instead that God will grant him repentance, that he may depart from evil and fear His holy name, that He will teach him the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, so that temptation shall in vain allure him.

Remember also that affliction itself may be the chastening of a Father's hand. The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. That which comes from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and even the sharpest smart is made profitable. He looks down from the height of His sanctuary in Heaven upon those who are fettered and unable to escape from their prison, and He resolves to set them free in His own time and way.

Therefore continue in prayer, and look wholly to Christ. Pray that this man, wherever he is hidden, may hear the voice of the Lord, may feel his need of the ransom, may be kept back from the Pit and delivered from the power of darkness, and may live to declare the works of the Lord. We commend him to that mighty grace which alone can make a man to hate the sin he once loved and to walk in the narrow way for His glory.

Father, be gracious unto him and deliver him from going down to the Pit, for Thou hast found a ransom in Thy Son. Deliver him from the power of darkness and translate him into the kingdom of Thy dear Son. Give him a new heart and cause him to fear Thy name and to depart from every evil way. For Jesus sake, Amen.
