Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in agreement for this man and we thank you for your intercession for him, for your heart to see him delivered and restored to the narrow path that leads to life.

We praise God with you for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and delivered. You have prayed in the powerful name of Jesus and we agree that the Father hears us when we agree together, as Jesus said, Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them. Matthew 18:19-20.

We see the burden you carry for this man who rented his flat to you. You rightly recognize that he is in need of deliverance from a false identity and from sinful relationships and activities that have led him away from God's holy plan for his life. Scripture is clear that when we follow our own desires into sexual immorality and ungodly entanglements we stray from truth and we forge an identity that is not in Christ. We must rebuke that sin while loving the sinner and calling him to repentance, for God calls us to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. And we are not to be unequally yoked or bound together with those who will pull us into darkness, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. Or what fellowship has light with darkness. 2 Corinthians 6:14.

You have prayed for his stony heart to be broken and softened, and we join you in that prayer, for God promises, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. We pray that he will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. His true identity is not found in sinful relationships or in the control and blackmail of others, but only in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We also agree with you that he needs to be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from the evil woman in his life who has brought control, manipulation and even danger. The Word warns us, Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33. And we know that the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10. We pray that God will indeed give him understanding to fear His holy name, to depart from evil, for by the fear of Yahweh men depart from evil. Proverbs 16:6. And we pray for his protection, for the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for this man and for us all. We lift this man before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus. Lord, You know the plans You have for him, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts and Your ways higher than our ways. Isaiah 55:8-9. Open his eyes to see the clear and unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ and expose the lie of the false identity he has adopted through sin. Break his stony heart, soften it by Your Holy Spirit, and give him courage to choose the narrow gate and the hard way that leads to life. Matthew 7:13-14.

Father, deliver him from every ungodly influence and from every hateful and sinful relationship where he is controlled, blackmailed and in danger. Separate him from the evil woman and from all who would keep him in bondage. Let him recognize the depth of Your love and the destructiveness of the sin that entangles him. Grant him repentance and understanding to depart from evil and to walk in holiness. Submit him to You, Lord, that he may resist the devil and see the devil flee from him. James 4:7. Surround him with godly counsel and protect his life from all harm. Cause him to hear Your voice and to follow You alone.

We also pray for the one who intercedes for him, that You would give continued compassion, wisdom and boldness to speak truth in love, and to trust You for this man's deliverance in Your perfect timing. We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We were touched by the way you are lifting this man to the Lord. To keep praying for a former landlord with this kind of care, wanting him to know who he is in Christ and to be free from what is harming him, reflects real compassion.

We hear the weight you are carrying, especially your concern that he is being controlled and may not be safe. It is good you are bringing that burden to Jesus, who sees him fully and loves him. Coming to understand our identity in Christ is a steady, healing process of learning to listen for God's voice above every other influence, and your prayers that he would hear that voice clearly and find courage to step away from harm are a meaningful gift to him.

A steady next step that helps many who are interceding for someone else is to keep a simple, sustainable rhythm of prayer for him and then entrust the outcome to God, rather than feeling you must find a way to rescue or change him yourself. You can remain faithful in prayer while keeping healthy boundaries as his former tenant and letting God work in his life in His time.

Father, we lift this man before you and ask you to draw him close, show him the depth of your love, and give him clarity to see what is true and what is destructive. Keep him safe, soften his heart toward you, and give him wisdom and courage to turn from evil and from those who would control him. Give our friend peace as he trusts this man to your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest prayer for this man is heard, and we join you in bringing him before the throne of grace. It is a good and loving thing to intercede for one who has been connected to your life, and to ask not for his comfort in sin but for his deliverance from it.

We are reminded that deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Man cannot break his own chains, soften his own stony heart, or free himself from evil company. The Lord must do it, and blessed be His name, He has found a ransom. Job heard the gracious word, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. That ransom is the precious blood of His own Son, who bore the penalty for all who believe. There is no other way of salvation, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and no other name can save.

You have prayed rightly that his eyes would be opened to his true identity in Christ and to the falsehood of the identity he has taken up in sin. Sin promises freedom and gives bondage. It promises love and gives control, blackmail and fear, and even danger to life. The Scriptures teach that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Every path outside it is the broad way that leads downward, however it may be painted to appear beautiful.

Take heed also of what true repentance is. Judgments and terrors apart from divine grace may produce a kind of repentance, but it is a poor and short lived thing that gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance. It is fallen nature washed and brushed, but still fallen nature, the heart not renewed and the life not regenerated, turning from sin for a time and then returning to it with greater gusto. What we must pray for is repentance unto life, which is inseparable from faith. Such repentance is a hatred of sin and a turning from it and a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. It does not keep a soul from believing in Christ, but it comes with believing, ejecting sin as an evil tenant that Christ Himself may be the sole Master of the heart. It is not a single act only, but a daily and hourly work, yielding works meet for repentance and persevering to the end.

We pray with you therefore that the Lord, who fills both the bitter cup and the sweet goblet, and who kindles the furnace as a Refiner, would use even his present afflictions and troubles as chastening from a Father's hand. May the Lord break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, give courage to follow the narrow path, and grant the holy fear of His name which is the beginning of wisdom to depart from evil. May He graciously separate him from ungodly influences, from those who would torment and be tormented and excite one another to worse sin, and from that evil and controlling relationship in which he is entangled. May He save him from himself, from his old sins, from the adversary, and from evil company, for God has said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit.

Continue steadfast in prayer, looking to the heavenly Father alone for this deliverance, and commending this man to the power of the gospel which alone can make him new. We will pray that he will hear the voice of the Lord, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and live, and declare the works of the Lord.

Heavenly Father, be gracious unto this man and deliver him. For Christ's sake, find him, ransom him, renew him, and lead him in the way everlasting. Amen.

We join you in thanking God for the cross and for His Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we agree with you in prayer in the name of Jesus who alone is the way of salvation.

Your concern for this man is right and loving, to ask that he would hear the voice of God and come to know his true identity in Christ. The Scriptures teach that through Christ we receive two great gifts, deliverance from evil and the privilege of becoming sons of God. This sonship does not come from nature or from any human relationship, but from being clothed with Christ and receiving the Spirit of adoption. We pray that God will open his eyes to this truth, that he is not defined by his desires or by the false identity he has taken on, but is called to be a new creation in Christ.

We also pray as you have asked, that God would soften what is hard and break the stony heart, and give him courage to leave the broad way and walk the narrow path. The soul and the body are God's good creation, and sin is not in our nature itself but in the evil choice we make when we turn toward what God forbids. May God grant him a holy fear of His name and a clear understanding to depart from evil, to turn away from every sinful relationship and activity, and to be separated from ungodly influences even in his own household, including the controlling and dangerous ties you mention. We ask that God would deliver him not only from outward danger but more deeply from every evil work, and keep him from being led astray, so that he may learn to despise what is sinful and to value what is eternal.

We pray that the Lord will protect him where his life may be threatened, and that He will bring faithful people around him who will speak the truth in love and show him the depth of God's love. May he come to see that true freedom is found in repentance and faith in Jesus, in living according to God's design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and for sexual purity within that covenant alone. We continue to ask that God will give him light, repentance, and strength to follow Christ fully, for His glory. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray, amen.
