Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for the holy sacrifice of Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we agree together with you in the name of Jesus for this man who rented his flat to you. We praise God that you have brought him before the throne of grace with such compassion, for the Lord knows the plans He has for him and His thoughts are far greater than ours, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 55:8-9.

We hear your burden for his deliverance and for his true identity in Christ. Scripture tells us that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away, behold all things have become new in 2 Corinthians 5:17. When a person enters into sinful relationships or activities and follows his own desires instead of the narrow path, he adopts a false identity that is not from God. Jesus taught that the gate is narrow and the way is narrow that leads to life and there are few who find it in Matthew 7:13-14. We also understand your prayer for his stony heart, for God promises in Ezekiel 36:26 that He will take away the stony heart out of our flesh and give us a heart of flesh, and only He can soften a heart and give courage to walk in obedience.

We also discern the seriousness of what you have shared about ungodly influences in his household and about sinful and hateful relationships where he is controlled and blackmailed and where his life may be in danger. The Word warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 6:14 and that evil companionships corrupt good morals in 1 Corinthians 15:33, and we are called to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Where sexual sin is involved, we are commanded to flee sexual immorality in 1 Corinthians 6:18, for every other sin is outside the body but sexual sin is against one's own body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Lord calls us to fear His holy name and to depart from evil as Proverbs 3:7 says, do not be wise in your own eyes, fear Yahweh and depart from evil, and Proverbs 9:10 reminds us that the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. We also take seriously your mention of the evil woman in his life, for Proverbs 5:3-5 and Proverbs 6:24 warn about the way of the immoral woman whose ways lead down to death, and God calls His children to holiness and purity and to pursue relationships that honor Him in marriage between a man and a woman.

So we pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the powerful name of Jesus, thanking You that You hear us when we agree according to Matthew 18:19. Lord, You know this man and You love him as Your child. We ask that You open his eyes to see the clear and unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ and to recognize the false identity he has taken on through sin. Break his stony heart, soften it for Your glory, and give him a new heart that desires Your will. Give him courage to choose the narrow path and to submit himself to You so that he may resist the devil and the devil will flee from him according to James 4:7. Lord, deliver him from the domain of darkness and transfer him fully into the Kingdom of Your beloved Son as in Colossians 1:13. Separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his household, and expose every controlling, hateful and blackmailing relationship for what it is. Protect his life, for You are faithful and will guard him from the evil one in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and You deliver the righteous out of all their afflictions in Psalm 34:17. Give him a holy fear of Your name and understanding to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life, and grant him repentance and cleansing as You promise in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins You are faithful and righteous to forgive us. Fill him with the knowledge of Your deep love and lead him into freedom, purity and obedience for Your glory. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love and with boundaries that honor God, trusting that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4. Keep praying that he will fully surrender to Christ, confess and forsake sin, and walk in the light, for God desires that all should come to repentance in 2 Peter 3:9. We thank you for standing in the gap for him and we stand with you believing for his complete deliverance and restoration.

Thank you for bringing this man before the Lord with such care. We can hear how much you want him to know freedom and safety, and to hear God's voice clearly about his life.

It is a heavy thing to watch someone you have known seem controlled and pressured by relationships that harm him. We hold that concern with you and bring his need for clarity, courage and protection to Jesus, who alone can set a heart free as we cooperate with the Holy Spirit and invite Him to do what only He can do. Part of that freedom is coming to rest in who he is in Christ, an identity that is not shaken by outward pressures or past choices, and that becomes a steady reference point when life is turbulent.

We encourage you to keep entrusting him to the Lord in prayer while keeping wise and kind boundaries in your own contact with him. You cannot carry his decisions for him, but you can keep loving him through prayer and, if you have a trusted pastor, share this burden there so you are not carrying it alone.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know his story and his struggles. Soften his heart where it has grown hard, open his eyes to Your love and truth, and give him courage to step away from what harms him. Keep him safe, surround him with godly influences, and lead him into the wholeness You intend for him. Give our friend peace as they continue to pray. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in prayer before the throne of grace, thanking God with you for the cross where His holy Son suffered for all who believe, and for the promise that He hears us when we agree together in the name of Jesus.

Your burden for this man is a right and loving one, to ask not that God would bless him in a way that leaves him in sin, but that God would deliver him from it. We pray with you that the Lord in His mercy would open his ears and seal his instruction, that He may withdraw him from his purpose and hide pride from him, and turn his feet to the narrow path which leads unto life.

We must ask the Lord for more than a repentance which springs alone from terror or from trouble. Judgments apart from divine grace may produce a kind of repentance, but it is superficial and affects only the surface of the man, and withers as quickly as it appears. True repentance is a work of grace in the heart. It is inseparable from faith, for the repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant is joined to the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of. So we pray that God would give him a godly sorrow which looks to Christ and rejoices in Jesus crucified, trusting only in His one great sacrifice.

For our hope is not in forms or feelings or resolutions, but in what Christ has done. There is a word which still delivers souls from going down to the pit, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. We pray that this man may hear that word and look to Christ and live, seeing his sin punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all who will only trust Him. When Christ was bound, His people were set free, and He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into His own kingdom. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

Therefore we pray thus with you. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, be gracious unto this man. Break his stony heart and give him a heart of flesh, and give him courage to follow Thy narrow way. Open his eyes to see his true identity in Christ, and to see the false identity he has adopted in straying after his own desires. Grant him understanding to fear Thy holy name and to depart from evil. Separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every hateful and sinful entanglement where he is controlled and where his life may be in danger. Keep him by Thy power and lead him into the light, that sleeping in darkness he may awake and walk as a child of light, rejoicing that he is saved in Christ. Teach him to trust not in himself but in the blood of Christ alone for salvation, and to walk in purity according to Thy good design, wherein marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it. Let him not return to sin with greater appetite, but let his repentance be deep and lasting, loving Christ, trusting Christ, and leaping for joy at the thought that God has set Him forth to be a propitiation for sin.

We ask that Thy will, which is far greater and wiser than ours, may be done in his life for Thy glory, and that he may yet sing with those who are rescued, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour, and make a full dedication of himself to Thee who delivers. In Jesus powerful name we ask these things, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this man before the Lord in prayer, and we thank God that you desire to see him walk in truth and freedom.

We agree with you that our only hope is the cross, where Jesus Christ suffered for all who believe, and that salvation and sonship come through Him alone. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only by being clothed with Christ and receiving His Spirit that we become children of God. We pray that this man would come to know that true identity, not an identity built on desires or on sinful relationships, but the identity given to those who repent and trust in Christ.

Scripture teaches that repentance has great power. Even when a person has fallen to a great depth of sin and danger, God is able to set him free from the burden of sin and to form Christ in him again, if he will turn back to God with a sincere heart. No sin is beyond the reach of His mercy when there is genuine repentance and a purpose to amend. We pray that God would grant this man that gift of repentance, that He would break a stony heart and give a soft heart that fears His holy name and desires to depart from evil.

We pray for his deliverance from evil and for the supply of good that only Christ can give. We ask the Lord to open his eyes to see clearly where he has strayed from the narrow path by following his own desires, to show him the emptiness and danger of sinful pleasures which bring shame and uneasiness, and to draw him to the lasting joy found in walking with Christ. We ask that God would give him courage to choose continence and holiness, and to pursue the narrow path that leads to life.

We also join you in praying for his protection and for separation from ungodly influences that control, blackmail or endanger him, including those in his household and the sinful relationship you mention. We do not ask God to bless or affirm any relationship outside of His design, for we hold that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Instead we pray that God would separate him from what harms him, bring godly influences into his life, and help him to recognize both the depth of Gods love and the seriousness of sin.

We pray that he would hear the voice of the Lord, turn from what is evil, and find safety and new life in Christ. And we pray for you as well, that God would give you wisdom, patience and love as you continue to intercede, and that you would rest in the comfort that God is patient, desiring repentance, and able to restore even those who have wandered far.

We commend him to the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose powerful name we pray, amen.
