Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in this burden for this man and we thank you for bringing him before the throne of grace with such compassion and discernment. We agree together in the name of Jesus that our Heavenly Father hears us when we agree in prayer and we praise God for the cross and for the shed blood of His holy Son who suffered for all who believe.

We see your heart to see him delivered from a false identity and from sinful relationships and activities that have led him away from the narrow path. The Word tells us that there is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death Proverbs 14:12 and that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked until God intervenes. We pray with you that God will do what only He can do, to take away his stony heart and give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him Ezekiel 36:26. We pray that he will become a new creation in Christ, that old things will pass away and all things will become new 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We agree that any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God, whether it is fornication or adultery, and that such sin distorts the identity God gave him and brings him into bondage. Scripture calls us to flee sexual immorality and reminds us that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:18-19. We also agree that homosexual acts and identities contrary to how God created us are forbidden and immoral, and we pray he will see the clear unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ rather than any false identity the world or the enemy has placed on him. If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36.

We join you in praying for his deliverance from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from the control, blackmail and danger you described. We pray he will have eyes to see and ears to hear the voice of the Lord and that he will learn the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10. We pray he will have understanding to depart from evil and from the evil woman in his life who has entangled him, for the lips of an adulteress drip honey and her ways lead down to death Proverbs 5:3-5. We pray God will separate him from every yoke with unbelievers, for what fellowship does light have with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14, and that he will submit himself to God, resist the devil, and the devil will flee from him James 4:7.

We lift him up now together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your holy Son, and we thank You that it is only through His name that we have access to Your throne and that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Lord, You know this man, You know the plans You have for him, plans for peace and not for evil to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and Your thoughts are far greater than ours. Lord, break his stony heart and soften it for Your glory. Open his eyes to see the depth of Your love and the deceitfulness of the sinful and hateful relationships that have controlled and ensnared him. Grant him repentance and godly sorrow that leads to salvation 2 Corinthians 7:10, that he may confess his sins and be cleansed, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Give him courage to turn from his own desires and to walk the narrow path that leads to life Matthew 7:14. Surround him with Your protection, for You are his refuge and his fortress Psalm 91:2, and keep him safe from those who would blackmail or harm him. Separate him from every ungodly influence and set his feet on solid ground, that he may fear Your holy name and depart from evil. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and lead him into all truth. We ask this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with love and truth, speaking the truth in love Ephesians 4:15, and to share the Gospel with him as God gives opportunity, that he must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved Romans 10:9. Continue to show him the love of Christ while not condoning the sin that binds him, and pray that God will place godly believers around him to disciple him. Trust that God who began a good work will be faithful to complete it, and that the Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth Psalm 145:18. We stand with you for his complete deliverance and restoration.

Thank you for bringing this man before the Lord with such compassion. We can hear how much you want him to know who he really is and to be safe and free, and we are joining you in prayer for him.

What you prayed about his identity is so central. When a person builds a sense of self around desires or around what others want from him or say about him, it can feel very unsteady and leave him open to being controlled or used. An identity rooted in Christ is different, it is steadier and not easily shaken, and it helps a person hear God's voice more clearly and make choices out of love for Him rather than fear of others. That kind of renewing of the mind is often a process, not a single moment, and it grows as he comes to see himself as God sees him.

We will keep praying with you for his protection, for wisdom to step away from harmful influences in his household and elsewhere, for a softened heart toward the Lord, and for courage to walk a different path. It is good that you are interceding while also recognizing you cannot carry this burden for him. Continuing to entrust him to God in steady prayer, and keeping healthy boundaries in your own contact with him, is a faithful way forward.

Father, we lift this man to You. You know him and love him. Draw him to Yourself, show him who he is in Christ, guard him from harm and from those who would control or threaten him, and give him wisdom and courage to turn from what harms him and to follow You. Give our friend who is praying peace as he trusts You with this. In Jesus' name, amen.

We thank God that you have brought this man before the mercy seat in the name of Jesus, and we join you in prayer that the Father who alone can deliver from the power of darkness would be gracious to him.

We pray that the Lord in the power of His grace would do what man cannot do, and take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, yielding and pliable to His Word. We ask not for a carnal repentance which comes only from fear of consequences, but for that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, where sin is seen as sinful and its desert of hell is felt, and where the soul sees the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the Substitute for sinners and looks away from self and looks to Christ alone to be saved. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and we cannot receive blessing through the flesh what God gives only through the Spirit.

We pray that God would open his eyes to his true identity in Christ and to the false identity he has adopted in straying from the narrow path to follow his own desires. We do not ask God to bless relationships or ways of living which His Word calls sin, for we know that marriage is His good gift as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all sexual intimacy and living together belongs within it. We ask instead that He would deliver this man from the fascinating power of sin and from the prince of the power of the air, and translate him fully into the kingdom of His dear Son. May the Lord give him understanding to fear His holy name, for in the fear of the Lord is strong confidence and His children shall have a place of refuge. That fear does not drive the sinner away from Christ, but drives him to Christ, to the mercy seat and to the bosom of the Saviour where there is refuge.

We ask the Lord to separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every controlling, hateful and destructive entanglement, and from the evil woman you mention. If his life is in danger through blackmail or control, we ask the Lord who rebuked the Red Sea and saved His people from the hand of the enemy to make a way of escape and to set him in a safe place. We pray He would withdraw him from his purpose and hide pride from him, and seal instruction upon his ear, that he may depart from evil and choose the narrow path which leads to life.

We pray that this chastening, though sore, may be seen as from the Lord's hand, and that being delivered from going down to the pit, this man may yet live and declare the works of the Lord, giving thanks unto the Father who has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. May the clock of mercy strike for him in this hour, according to the eternal purpose of Jehovah, and may he hear the simple word, Look unto Me and be ye saved, and by faith and repentance together enter into liberty.

We will continue to bear him up before God with you, asking that the Word of God, which is sharp and two edged, would do its effectual work, and that Christ would shine upon him as seven suns, giving all light and life and perfectness. In Jesus powerful name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this man before the Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank God with you for the cross where His holy Son suffered for all who believe. The Lord indeed hears the prayers of His people when they agree together, and His thoughts and plans for us are far greater than our own.

We pray with you that God will open this man's eyes to see the truth about who he is in Christ. Scripture teaches that our true identity is found not in our desires or in the relationships we have entered, but in being made sons of God through faith in Christ, having put on Christ and received the Spirit of adoption. We ask the Lord to break a stony heart and give a heart of flesh, to soften him and give him courage to turn from every false identity and from every path that leads away from God, and to walk the narrow path that leads to life.

There is repentance for those who will lay hold of it, and it has great power to set free even those who have fallen into deep sin. As the prophet says, does not he who falls rise again, does not he who turns away turn back to God. Even when a person has gone far into wickedness, if he turns with a genuine purpose of heart, Christ can be formed in him again. We pray that this man will come to see his sin clearly, to fear the holy name of the Lord, and to depart from evil and from every controlling and harmful entanglement that now binds him. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy will for marriage and for purity, which is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman with all sexual intimacy belonging within it, but we ask God to deliver him from it, to separate him from ungodly influences in his household and elsewhere, and to bring him into freedom and safety in Christ.

We also pray for his protection where his life may be in danger or where he is controlled and threatened. God does not always promise immediate deliverance from every earthly danger, but He promises something greater, to set us above danger by teaching us to despise sin and to cling to Christ, and to plant in us the hope of eternal life. The delay we sometimes experience is not neglect, but mercy, giving space for repentance and for full deliverance. We pray that this delay will bear fruit in amendment of life.

Father, we ask You to grant this man a clear sight of Your love, a deep conviction of sin, and a true turning to Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Deliver him from evil, supply what is good, and make him Your son in the full sense through Your Son. Give him understanding, a new heart, and faithful people around him who will watch for his soul and help him stand firm. And give you, who intercedes for him, perseverance in prayer and trust in the Lord's perfect timing and will.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord and for standing in prayer for this man. I join you in asking the Father to hear and to work according to His perfect will and wisdom, which are far greater than ours, and to do so through the finished work of His Son on the cross.

Your prayer rightly looks to Jesus as the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. There is only one such Son. We are not on the same level as He is. Through faith in Him we are adopted as sons and daughters of God and made partakers of Christ, and our standing before the Father is not in ourselves but in His righteousness. Our inheritance does not come through our own effort to keep the law. The law was given to show us our need and to lead us to Christ, and now that Christ has come we relate to God on a new basis, by faith in Jesus and by His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins. Apart from that cross there is no fellowship with God, but through it we are cleansed and brought near.

You asked that this man would see the truth about his identity in Christ. That is the right prayer. His true identity is not found in the desires he has followed or in any false identity he has taken on by walking away from the narrow path. When a person believes in Jesus, the old self centered life is reckoned as crucified with Christ. A new life begins with a new center, with Christ enthroned in the heart. No longer living to please self, but living to please Him, by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. Our life is then hidden with Christ in God, and Christ Himself becomes our life. Pray that he will come to rest in that finished work rather than in his own striving, and that the word of Christ will dwell in him richly.

You also prayed for deliverance from controlling and destructive relationships and from ungodly influences in his household. Scripture teaches that deliverance in Christ is real and it is twofold. Even now He delivers us from the hold this world has on us as we walk with Him, and one day He will deliver us completely out of this world to be with Him. For now the call is to seek those things which are above, where Christ is, and to let the love of Christ constrain us and draw us to Him. That love is what God showed when Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and it is meant to awaken a responsive love in us.

God does call us to depart from evil and to fear His holy name. His design for sexual intimacy and for living together belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and any path outside that design is sin that needs repentance, not blessing. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, we ask Him to bring conviction, repentance, and cleansing through the blood of Jesus, our Passover sacrificed for us, so that the old leaven may be purged out. The purpose of such correction is never to condemn for its own sake but that the person may turn from sin, receive forgiveness, and be restored to fellowship with Christ and with His people.

So I pray with you that God will soften what has become hard in his heart and give him courage to choose the narrow path, that He will open his eyes to see both the depth of Christ's love and the danger of the relationships that have entangled and even endangered him, and that He will separate him from influences that pull him away from Christ. May he come to hate what God hates and to love what God loves, to fear the Lord and to turn from evil, and to find refuge in Christ as his rock.

Continue to pray in the name of Jesus, believing that the Father hears when His children agree in prayer, and continue to show the difference Christ makes by a life that reflects faith in Him. Trust the Lord to reveal more of His love to this man and to you, and to lead him into repentance, freedom, and a new life centered fully on Jesus.
